Asunto: Australia Cup

Well that absolutely sucked.

Spend some time setting up a tactic. Somehow not get it or the lineup I wanted. Screw training for the week. Spend the whole game until we score thinking "there's no way we can win with these guys out there with those instructions." Spend the rest of the game alternating between "this can't last" and "I'll get no satisfaction at all if I win like this."

Meh. Sorry it had to be that way Achmid, it'll be better in our league rematch.

What's with Croxall missing 2 penalties in a row too? (Despite being in divine form and getting a 63 as a mid.... I'm sure we discussed a more attacking role in the team meeting)

Well just think, if you had the tactic and team you selected, you may not have won ;), after all, it was your SI player who scored too :s

Bah!! I knew it. I just knew it! 3 days before the Cup Final I cop a big injury to a star :(

Brat will be missing for us. He's not quite as good as Sussi perhaps, but an important part of our midfield all the same.

I might have to go shopping ;)

Its at my home stadium, which makes you the higher seed and my humble self the underdog surely :P
2007-12-11 10:33:31
Well I figured:
a) You're in the A-League and I am just a lowly dII side; and
b) My best midfielder is injured.

But you bought a replacement, who looks a bit expensive to be a reserve, and we both have a man out.

Oh alright I admit it. Go the favourite! Go you good thing! GO!
2007-12-11 11:53:47
haha... both desperate to take the underdog tag :D
2007-12-11 13:01:07
just imagine if it went to penalties :P
2007-12-12 08:21:09
Oh god don't say that!

In all seriousness good look agbell.

I hope that cards/injuries don't play a significant role and that the goals derive more from tactical/individual brilliance than they do fumbles and/or dubious match engine decisions.

Good luck to you also, should be an interesting tussle.

Well done Naph'!
I'm sure I can guess your fan mood ahead of sunday's game...

Cruel way for it to happen, but I thought we deserved a goal in regulation (missed penalty and all). In extra time the red card (21 day injury by the way) was telling as super-sub McDermott found plenty of space up the right and managed to set up another.

Commiserations agbell, but congrats on making it to the final and for being part of a memorable (at least for me) cup final.
