their strikers in good form, and plenty of goal keeping heroics prevented me from winning :( and that defensive mid is annoying as hell!
oh well, he scored a hilarious own goal in the 8th minute and my target man did a ronaldo on the keeper. that made up for the 4-2 lost a bit... gonna have a chance at revenge at home next week. if i dont win this, i dont think i will make the promotion spot....

After my promising run in the start of the season, I now havent won a game in 3 games meaning my chances at taking the league are virtually non-existant now...

Any ideas on my sudden turn of bad playing? Opponent? Luck? Players? Tactics?

Quite often what happens in the lower divs with midfielder like that is that the guy's pass is so bad it goes miles too far but your strikers are faster than their defenders and they get to it and score an easy goal :)

Looks like a good battle in II.02. You're only 3pts down, so beat Jyuukenbu F.C on the return leg and there goes their lead.

In answer to your question... tactics.
Have a think about why the ball spends so much time in your half. Dont unerestimate the effect of playing your wingers as DEF, your wing-backs and your striker as MID. The players look good enough, but the tactic (particularly for this last game) is a bit of a mess.

Well i don't think anyone could possibly top this:

Top versus bottom (a bot)
26 shots to 1
My incredible striker who's kicked 15 already this season had 16 shots on goal
very good Shooting weak
average Passing poor
average Defending weak

And the final score..... 0-0

Landed in a tough div II league last season and struggled to win games. Then lost a play-off due to injuries to key players.

Was hoping to bounce straight back up but with the luck i've had so far i'm not holding my breath!!!

actually i think you will find you got into the easiest div 2 league...maybe with the exception of II.04 who may have a couple of stronger teams, just weaker lower sides (not 100% sure tho). but i do hope to see you back up to div II next season

We *were* the second strongest league...

until Chelsea FC left :P

My deepest apologies for leaving.

Agbell was beating everybody and there were 6 of us who were pretty evenly matched. I didn't have a lot of luck and wasn't paying as much attention to my team as i should have and wound up at the bottom of that pile. So it wasn't tough as in filled with lots of Agbell's but tough as in very hard fought between the rest of us.

yeh fair enough, that makes sense, in othr words it was a tough league, but not a strong one ;P (A fellow A-Leaguer described the div 2 leagues of last season exactly this way, and he was very very correct)

Edit: and yeh, I do realise you wrote tough earlier haha

oy.... what a week..... got trashed 7-1 at home by the league leaders (not gonna even bother watching the match, that's gonna worsen my mood even further, might watch when it gets better later in the week), that practically reduced my chances of gaining promotion this season to nil... i finally dropped from madly in love, but they are still satisfied (the supporters). still, im expecting a drop in sponsorship money after losing 2 straight weeks (hopefully nothing below 100k ;))

hopefully i get back to my winning ways in the next league match..... and that 80k from a sold out stadium was sweet, i gotta admit.... perhaps it might be time to expand again....

EDIT: that huge loss also means that my defence is no longer the stingiest in the league..... :(

14 shots 1 goal 3 injuries! Damn my soft players.
