Asunto: The "give your team the hairdryer treatm

Bit of a bloodbath for me. 2 players injured, one sent off and another received 3rd yellow.
If there was ever a good time for injuries, I guess it's now. Not much on, all well stamina'd.

never thought i'd win 6-1. oveido and ilmer are horrible to play against. my players quickly learnt that anything more than a moment on the ball with those guys mean trouble and the best way to deal with them is to mob them together. unless they decide to pass that is :P

sandilands really stepped up to the plate when ellem was suspended with 4 goals and a best mark of 51. so did the young charges with the task of filling in for ellem. a goal apiece when SI isnt too bad. reckon it would've been more though if they weren't.

i guess having a super-awesome strikeforce is not enough to win games, as shown by victory. good tactics and good players in each position are the way :)

EDIT: my second best defender got injured and will be SI for the all-important qualification match though :(

Good to see you finish strongly, and get an easier qualification game. You should definitely stay in II ;)

Well this is the 2nd time I've relegated from II to III. Hopefully this will be as long as the last one and next season I will be back stronger than before. I picked up two strikers on the transfer list but both proved to be not as good as current ones according to both SO and SV. Hopefully with training they will move ahead of my others.

My big struggle will be finances this season. Fortunately I have a bit of money in the bank. Time will tell if it is enough or not.

Bit unlucky there. You should cane it in D3 and be back stronger than ever. Good luck mate.

Yeah thats the plan. On another note I just found I could upload a manager pic...lol...spose thats been possible for ages. For anyone that wants to see a pic of me in action (I think it was 2007), have a look.

28 day injury for a player with hopeless stamina. b*mmer. Does anyone play friendlies now? Not much point really.
2009-01-07 13:02:11
Yep, never miss a chance to send the lads out for a run.
2009-01-07 13:10:32
There's always point, get more training, although in this week if you don't have a quali most train stamina but there's nothing stopping you training pace or other skills.

Positives include:
1) watching a game - obviously thats a main reason you play the game to begin with
2) improve tactic knowledge
3) gain tactical discipline, potential form rises the day after
4) gain valuable ranking points

Don't know why you wouldn't organize a friendly tbh, considering there's no league games this week, you don't really want to go without a game for almost 2 weeks?
2009-01-07 14:05:47
Yeah always play friendlies although at times I have been absent and failed to organise one....bugger.
