Tough break there. It's going to be a battle of the walking wounded this Sunday. I can't even fill the bench. :(

I've picked up a couple of really frustrating injuries in the last couple of friendlies.

this game is fkn retarded every single shot my opponent has goes in and my team just cannot hit the goal from a meter out...do you have to pay money for ur team to play any good or what...i give up..

Its only taken 15 or so weeks (even before i left the A-League) but "Your supporters are madly in love with their club" I havent seen that there for a LONG time! =D

combination of factors but mainly comes down to tactical decisions and player skills and form. There is always an element of luck involved, it's part of the game.

I guess the best way of progressing is to analyse why you gave away so many shots and generated so few. You got crushed this game 18 shots to 4, I'd be questioning your tactical formation used against the opposition. Mind you your player skills are probably behind a bit too.

Essentially if it's players that is the problem, it's really just about being patient enough to be able to afford to improve your squad. Training younger players is probably the best way forward so having a strategy in place will fast track your development.

There are always times where everything seems to go pear shaped. I only scored 1 goal today despite having 20 shots to 2.

What you do from here is now your choice, but I'd personally look into why I gave away chances, why I didn't get any chances and how I can improve for the next game with the players I have at my disposal.

the thing is yeh 18 shots to 4 but half of those shots were from way outside the box and still went in. I mean they scored 4 goals with 10 men!!! thats rediculous...and ive changed the formation and set the defence to what i thought would cancel them out but they refuse to keep that shape for some reason so whats the point (yes i moved the white ball in editor). After the first few matches i decided to pack the defense to prevent this thing from happening...and all that did was empty the midfield so my stirkers dont get any feed whatsoever...and the defense got even worse somehow. At this rate the bot teams are gonna kick my ass as well.

Nah you'll beat the bot teams.

It's frustrating but sometimes when you're starting out sides are going to be stronger that you can't necessarily overcome them straight away. I'll watch the game and see if there are any obvious things that you might be able to fix, but usually if they're scoring from distance it's because you've either dropped your defense too deep (in Sokker dropping them too deep is almost suicidal) or there's too big a gap in between your midfield and defense allowing them to utilise that space.

Your issues with players being out of position might be caused by you setting unrealistic positions on the tactical editor given the skills of your players. So you might have one still trying to get back into position but is too slow to get back and it just causes problems.

Anyway I'll take a look and see.

My fans are Madly in love too!!! I dont understand!
2010-06-21 14:23:19
You're very close to the soft cap for your Div/League and it doesn't matter what you do, your fans won't be impressed beating teams at the level of your competition.
2010-06-21 14:48:18
i got 5 supporters for beating lesser teams tho!! and only satisfied fans!

Edit: Last week for instance i got 5 supporters... this week i get 1? Against an arguably better team and worse fan mood?

There's a random range where you don't always get the same amount. I'd say the 5 you got the other week was pretty lucky. Most of the time I struggled to get more than 2 when I was down there.
