Can talk about my striker Nietnagal.
Age 22-23: Took 5 weeks to go from excellent to formidable. The lesser number of weeks could be because he already might have had pace training in the previous club.
Age 23-34: 9 weeks to go from formidable to outstanding.
*All these are pace training weeks.

Well I don’t know how the new training system will work other then I thought I read somewhere it was going to allow us to basically train players and not be restricted to one position. How that ends up working we will have to wait for devs to tell us. I’m probably looking forward more to the junior school enhancement where you can get accurate talent, more junior places, more guaranteed juniors in a week as a minimum and prediction of best position for the junior. All at a cost though obviously.

Yeah not sure if I have forgotten or it wasn't mentioned yet about how many can train, and the % etc, but the crux of it is we can train all positions. So theres still balancing to be done.
form to outs 9 weeks seems pretty poor talent, I'd probably offload

I always suspected his talent but he more than makes up it on the playing field. Additionally, I'm not looking to create a very strong team just yet, am just gradually looking to improve in small phases. Getting a striker of his caliber would mean me shelling unnecessary money so I can afford to keep him since winning a big league is not a huge priority for me,
I am also waiting for the complete refactoring of the game after which I might probably look to create atleast a decent 1st eleven with an avg mark of greater than 50.

Yeah, looking forward to that as well.

I see a brainstorm over here, so let me clarify a few things.
First of all, all the upcoming changes are posted and announced on the Sokker Development forum. Here's the link to the archive of all the changes are about to be implemented: https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/63355/ID_topic/3438694/pg/1. The training regime can be found on Dev Diary 5.
To make it short and clear things up:
There will be 10 training slots to fill of your choosing. You can assign players to train whatever you want, remembering what training is the most efficient for each position. Every player can be trained in different skill. Those who will not play during the week will also gain training BUT the ones who will appear in matches will receive a significant bonus. I didn't find any info on how much % will it be. It is just said to be significant, so we assume it will not be 5 or 10%.
Also, the season is going to be a little shorter to speed the game up. Although there will probably be 3 games a week, so the efficiency of the training will not fall down so much, considering the fact that there will be divine coaches (which at first were planned only for the youth schools but we've found up lately they will be available for the senior squad as well).
All of this is said to be implemented in 2-3 seasons.
Remember you have a polish guy here who keeps track of all the changes. Feel free to ask anytime.
@cometer
I saw you wrote something about the pace training and its development that it is one of the easiest skill to train, just after the stamina. It's actually the opposite to what you think - pace is the hardest one of all. It is believed to be some kind of indicator of a player's talent. If you want to know the talent, look at the pace progress - it will show you everything. The list of the most grateful skills to train, starting from the easiest:
Stamina
Pass/Pm
Tech
Gk
Def
Striker
Pace
And I also disagree with the statement that pace isn't valued highly. It's the most boring training ever, so everyone's searching for the players who are already trained as much as possible to focus on the other ones. The plus here is that even 22 players are available for that training, at least for now :)

I’ll agree to disagree then. In time it takes then there’s an argument there. Pace is what I’d consider the easiest after stamina. You can train 22 players fully (no other skill does that). You don’t have to worry about tactic shenanigans like you would have to training any other position so you can just stick with whatever you like tactic wise. You don’t have to worry if for whatever reason you haven’t maximised player in the league match for full training (eg early red card) as the position order they play in a friendly doesn’t matter, so you can just slap em with whatever you want. No other skill set allows you this. If you train striker you can train maximum of 6 if one gets a red early in the league or you can’t afford to play 3 striker formation in your league game then suddenly you’re down to 5 or less training spots so someone misses out on full training. Only skill I’d potentially be willing to trade off is defender because 5 line defenses are pretty common and successful. Pace is slower but not by a lot and I can’t see how pace is boring and other skills aren’t. To me they’re the same process you wait a week and see what happens.

You've got a point here, I only refered to the pace of the development, not all the other issues with which I fully agree.
As for the boring part, it's probably related to all the players training one skill. It's a more 'exclusive' to train other formations as there's a lower number of players to train which gives you a chance to get more money. That's why strikers with just high striking skill are a lot more expensive than the ones with high tech, def or pace. Also, it's hard to complete a full young squad to train 22 players in pace and still stand a chance of any success in the top leagues. It's easier to get 6 young strikers or 10 defenders than 22 youngsters and fill the rest of the squad with older, cheaper and better players.
When I switched to pace, I had to drop 2 leagues down from III to V as with players aged U20 I didn't stand a chance. I invested some money but it did bring me a huge amount back to get some perspective young mids and defs. Now after 3 seasons, I'm finally getting right back on my feet and starting to climb back up as my youngsters have grown enough to put up a fight.

Ugh. 47 days worth of injuries from my friendly last night.
NOT VAN GISBERGEN! Oh dear, that's going to hurt (arguably our best or 2nd best player in the U21).
Guess he's had a pretty good run generally in the past though. But out for the season, ooof

We are actually missing our 2 best MIDs today, forgot the other had a red card :(

I have the honour of being pummelled by the 2nd ranked team in Poland on Sunday. Last week's friendly rating 77!
