Unfortunately it's also a massive financial hit for those trying to break in to the A-League long term as they lose so many supporters and therefore sponsorship because everyone else is a bot.
Only way to improve it is to have more users, even if they are relatively inactive, just so they build supporter club members

Well merged leagues would help solve that but I fear even if that did come the wrong solution would be chosen. Eg lose the entire local community in the process, so no local forum, no local cup or rankings etc. I mean if this latest issue on trying to fix inflation is anything to go by we’re all stuffed. I mean inflation was self induced by increasing matches to 3 a week. Now we’re about to have our revenue hit and wages increased. Seriously should have just added a wage component on transfers since that’s all money can do at the top end. The irony is people in there saying it’s not a money supply issue but a player shortage. I’m like it’s not a player shortage it’s people have nothing to spend money on except players so naturally you’ll pay more for the top players.
On a side note... WTF just happened in my junior match?!?
Cool Runnings only fielded ten men. The player missing was shirt number ten. They win 1-0 and the goal scorer was #10.... who scored? What am I missing?

Ok, so Cool Runnings only has ten juniors in their whole junior squad, so obv they could only field ten. But they ran onto the field with eleven players. A mystery player called Cunico played in shirt #10 (and scored) but he doesn't belong to Cool Runnings.
Looking at their game last week against Achmid, the same thing happened. CR only had 9 players available, but again they had 11 on the pitch as two mystery blokes from the crowd jumped onto the field.
Has it always been like this??

Lol I’ve never noticed. I played with 9/10 last week also and won. Didn’t check if I had a mystery player or not.

So the plot thickens. You selected ten players, and ten players ran out onto the field.
Your opponent (Mongrels) selected 9 players, but 11 players ran out onto the field.

Actually no fantum had set 16. The two “.” are players that have since been pulled and fired since that game.
Same as your scenario agbell. A dot on the report means the player no longer exists in any database. The match viewer is generated at the time so retains the name. Happens in league matches and nt matches too if a player is sacked/fired.
Ah so you think he played and scored in my game last night and then by the time I checked this morning he had been fired? Seems odd not to just keep the name on the match report.
Actually that's probably what it was. My initial thought was it was a pulled youth that got fired, then saw CR had not pulled a Cunico so was confused.
But CR was on last night bidding on a player, and given how poor Cunico's rating was in your match (10), he was probably trash so wouldn't be surprised if he was fired.

Yeah it was always a pain for history when i spent weeks compiling everything from 2009 back to 2004-05. Pretty sure that they wipe things from the db when sacked/fired and the match report directly queries the db. The match visualisation is generated at the time of the match and doesn’t query back to the db so doesn’t know the player doesn’t exist. That’s a good thing as that’s how I was able to find out player names etc when building that history.
Edit: I suspect the reason for deletion of the db is mostly down to space/performance but I could be wrong.

Warning to everyone that I’m not sure if it’s fixed yet or not but was hearing reports that transfer advertisements are being treated as transfer listing atm.
Confirmed. Still not fixed.
To clarify:
Totally true about the listing but pay attention to the deadline. It's not possible to bid such player as the mentioned deadline comes beforehand.
