Anyone had any luck with recruiting a coach? or do you recommend using the transfer option?

Depends on what you search for. I usually just keep spending on recruiting cause it's usually instant and I don't have to worry about overbids. Picked up a magical coach with slightly over 59k wage for around 600k from the recruiting system.

spent 170k for a brilliant coach.. with a wage of 48k

Solid 3760$

I just sacked my head coach and I mean "just!"...so now looking for someone with two unearthlys under 25,000 AUD...also a question is incredible or brilliant good enough to train stamina for a few weeks?
2007-10-18 15:33:20
I had 16 pops for 13 trainable players from an incredible stam coach. From that, I'd say it matters little whether you use unearthly or incred. However, if your team needs stam and money is no object, I'd say get an unearthly. Only half my squad are under formid for stam now, so I don't bother

Back on topic... I don't like the uncertainty of recruiting, but I've been able to get 2 good coaches from it. I guess I'm a bit of a gambler within.

Tommie van de Haar, age: 50,
wage: 48 720 AU$
club: Tong FC, country: Nederland
outstanding coach

Training effectiveness:
weak of stamina, poor of keeper
magical of pace, magical of defender
unearthly of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, unearthly of striker

Are his wages cheap / average / expensive for his skills?
2007-11-18 00:39:26
Expensive considering he is only Outstanding level...

But he makes a good Head Coach.
2007-11-18 00:47:23
Yes, I'm only looking at head coach. (Obviously :P)
2007-11-18 00:48:04
Then they are good skills and if i were in your position, wouldn't care about the wage =D
2007-11-18 00:56:03
I bought him for 200k off the trainers market, surprised I got him. Chances that I get somebody like that in 6 recruiting attempts? Practically zero.
2007-11-18 02:28:38
You guys sure throw plenty of dosh at coaches.

Not sure if my strategy is any better, but here's hoping! [mdr]

I'm trying to get my first brilliant coach but these polish blokes keep turning up at the last minute and make the price going mad... must adjust my clock to avoid the disapointments
2007-11-19 06:17:32
use the skills generator and you can get this guy! 2 attempts at 25000 each :)
