Asunto: Coach Prices

The most important thing for a head coach is to have magical or unearthly in the skill you are training. And with everything else very low, this will only set you back about 10k. This is why this option is great for new teams.

As you start to get more money, it becomes more important to have a rounded coach (still with the skill you are training at magical/unearthy) as it increases the number of "random" pops you get. In other words, for skills you arent training, your players will get about 0.01% training (only my opinion, nothing else) and if you get a nicely rounded unearthly coach, I believe that figure gets closer to 0.03%. As you can see not a huge difference.

As far as getting a cheap head coach, the general trend I have noticed is a chach with high stamina seems to cost less in wage but adds the same amount to the general apraisal, and a coach with high keeper costs more, but still only adds the same amount to the general appraisal

Just got this guy, took 4 attempts for a total cost of $201,600 thru Skills Select. He's now my Junior Coach and my old Junior Coach has become Head Coach.

Wayne Bunce, age: 43
wage: 45 960 AU$
club: Snappa Serpents, country: Australia
incredible coach

Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina hopeless of keeper
unearthly of pace brilliant of defender
unearthly of technique outstanding of playmaker
unearthly of passing brilliant of striker

I'm going to train tech for a while longer until I figure out what to do with Hayden Drum.

At first attempt to pull a head coach (previous coaches all via TM)...cost of $15 600 as only specified 2 skills.

Outstanding coach
Wage $38 200
magical of stamina tragic of keeper
unearthly of pace unearthly of defender
magical of technique excellent of playmaker
brilliant of passing outstanding of striker

Covers pretty much foreseeable future requirements for youth training & NT training - with pace, def, stam, & tech....have an assistant with brilliant striker training if I need to throw that in. :)

It's not easy to recruit an unearthly coach and it's truly expensive to purchase one from the transfer list.

Got bored and recruited another assistant.
Selected all VG, except +1 stam and -1 keeper. Got this guy on the 3rd attempt. Not the cheapest possible, but I'll take that.

Dammit you beat my junior coach who is brilliant at $42200

Is there a reason why you have stopped yourself at brilliant? I too recently bought a brilliant coach but I eventually plan to upgrade him to a magical coach although it might still take a few seasons as I have 0 assistants for my main coach to lean on.

Just cost benefit really.

Assistants can be very cheap. Noone should have 0 assistants because 3 good assistants can cost less than $10k AU total.

For many seasons I think I even had 2x adequate with my good because they were so cheap.

I may go for magical eventually, but for a minimal benefit, it can be hard to justify

It's hard to get return on investment on the top level coaches. You need to be producing some great players to get your money back on a magical youth coach (+ YS fees). But if you want to produce the best players possible and not worried about the money, get the best coach you can afford.

Agree that you should at least have 3 adequate+ assistants. They're so cheap.

I really get conflicting opinions from people here. Someone else had mentioned that you should have atleast 3 formidable assistants and since the wages of even 1 formidable assistant will throw me in loss for a few weeks, I hesitated from buying even 1 assistant. From what you say, then yes I can definitely have 3 assistant at cheap cost and maybe then upgrade on them later.

From an Indian NT point of view, it's important to churn out good youth players and so I haven't hesitated from spending a ton of money on my YS and junior coach(brilliant). For the greater good hehe.
