Asunto: [NT] Struś

Hi!

My name is Michal, I'm 28yo, I was born, and living in Poland.
I'm working in IT, so I have a lot of time for sokker ;)
You can see - I'm very often on-line.

I'm experienced sokker manager, I started to play in April 2004.

My achievements:

With my club:
- once Polish Cup 1/4
- winning 3rd division - 3 times
- two seasons in very strong 2nd polish division (this season probably second strongest in the world - just behind Polish Ekstraklasa)

With NT:
- Two cadences as Slovenija coach.
- Advanced with this small sokker Team to World Cup Finals
- Advanced to second stage of U-21 WC.

My goals, if I become NT coach of Australia

- Advence to WC Finals
- Make big player database with some old stars, and young players
- Improve posotion in World Ranking (better seeding in group draws)
- I'll try to make National Team more popular (for example organize some contests).

It's not easy to be a NT coach.
So before election I asked few my friends for help.
I know I can count on luczkis (manager from ekstraklasa), and Krikos (II div. winner). They will help me with database, scouting, and advise with tactics.
I still need one or two people more for scouting players.

Good to hear from you, Michal. You obviously have a solid background in Sokker and a good communicator.

Your database sounds good. So you envisage that managers will be able to use the database to see where their players rank at certain positions?

So the obvious question. Why have you chosen Australia?

1. database.

a) big database:

The best way to do this is not a website or application.
The best way is to go through the leagues and ask managers for their players. Scouting is surely more effective than waiting:)

b) Ranking on positions.

I'm not going to show skills of all players. I will put them on the list with specially calculated rating. I think I can handle it on forum.

2. Why Australia?
There are few reasons.

a) I can speak english ;)
b) I have an experience with small sokker nation - Slovenija. Now it's time to try in bigger community. I read your forum, and I see some active users interested in NT and I think we can co-operate well, and have a big pleasure with it.
c) I think, with your help we can make Australia team stronger (not the best in the World, but dangerous for most).
d) I heard some good word about Australia from Borkos ;)

Today I was talking with Borkos and he offered me his help, if i would win election.

So if I win, he will surely join "my staff".

What if Borkos will win the elections in Eesti?

Well, obviously Struś would help Borkos :P

You know the situation in Eesti better than me. I'll propably won't be elected for 3rd time, even if I beat Spain :/

Though if I win[I would love to...] I still might help Struś with getting known about the players etc., it's not that time-eating :)

I know Borkos, and he is realy very good coach with huge international experience. Looking at results he had, he surely deserves re-election.

I think, even as Eesti coach, he will find some time to discuss players and tactics.

Struś, you propose to have a large database of all Australian players, by asking all the managers in the league.

What are you going to do about potential Australian NT players playing in forgein leagues? (How are you going to scout them out, making sure that you don't miss any potential stars?)

What can you do to ensure that potential NT youths have the greatest chance of playing in the NT in the future?

Poland is still the biggest country, with many great players from whole world, and in Poland, I have many friends so I'm sure they would help me.

In other countries...
I think, I will go through high divisions of all main sokker countries. It should be enough to scout the most of NT prospects.

I would look at transfer list regularly to note the potential future stars.
