Why don't you play full strength in both games & train pace so you at least get 11 players trained. Then set up some substitute orders for players to come at a certain time if you are winning (or losing) by say two goals & then these boys can at least get some training also. So your first team at least gets 90 mins of training between both games and there is chance of at least some training for your reserves. Unless I had a large stadium I personally would not sacrifice the league for some cup revenue.
