Asunto: premiership

Maleldil [del] para Todos
somehow I've ended up 4 points clear in my II (not quite sure how that happened). Which means that unless I screw up horribly I will win it.

just wondering, what sort of player is needed in the prem?
2013-04-01 15:48:04
I took such a skelping when I went up that it made me sell up and start all over again, basically. I found it very difficult, and my team was nowhere near ready.

Not sure it's quite as strong now, though, and that's with the greatest of respect to the sides in there. We've lost some great teams.

I reckon this game suffers because you need to pay to be able to watch the games of others and work out tactics accordingly. That was the advice I was given on how to do better, and wasn't able to follow it.

I'd say get as strong a team as you can, and hopefully you'll be fine.

how strong is strong?

eg atmo I have a brilliant keeper and strikers who are incredible and formidable

that's not enough? If not, what should I be looking at?
2013-04-01 18:55:40
hi mate

dont think that will be strong enough im afraid :(

Try to have as high a keeper as possible in really good form because the level of strikers is really high in the premier , i have slightly better strikers but they are no use

For striker advice id personally talk to JM Punk or AM Punk as i believe they are probably the best 2 strikers trainers in scotland at the moment

Just get as good as you can or stay down and train up like the lads above , i decided im taking that route now hence my relegation this season :)

Heres basically my other 1st teamers, now i did beat ironshore in the cup this year but will i be good enough in the Premier?
2013-04-01 20:13:13
Isnt that defense pretty weak? :)
2013-04-01 20:18:11
It could be thats why im asking.
2013-04-01 21:21:56
if yer coming up mate , get a really strong defence !

most of the teams are getting really good , Caledonian are putting out some impressive numbers recently and i reckon they could be in with a big shout of challenging don big time next season

ive got a pretty damn decent defence this season but they been ripped apart lol
2013-04-02 01:51:21
i have a divine and and an unearthly striker

5 defenders are all divine or super divine
and only one has less than divine pace and he is unearthly

my keeper is divine with superdivine pace

and my team is middle of table

but as i forgot to set up my team twice this season against the bottom side i could/shold be just in top half

i really need to get back into the game
2013-04-02 07:44:41
Almost all of my players have played for Scotland at some point, you need to be strong in all positions to stay up in the prem not just def,mid or attack although I'd agree that the standard isn't quite as high as it was a few seasons ago.Less than average ratings of 60-65+ & a good keeper and it's a struggle although that could change as more teams rebuild or quit.
My team's getting on a bit & it's hard to find Scottish players to replace them with,I wouldn't be surprised at relegation in a couple of seasons time.Buying older highly multi-skilled players will get you up quickly but then you'd need to replace them fairly often as their skills drop & take the financial hit each time.
2013-04-02 18:45:10
I'm not sure I'm ever gonna take it seriously.

I've saved over £24m now. I'm training a few players who'll end up decent at least. And yet in no way do I see anything other than a major spend, a couple of seasons of glory then chucking it when the team goes bankrupt being my future.

I've never found a good balance between a strong side and manageable money.
2013-04-02 22:22:55
well, caledonian only beat me 2-1 in the cup, so I was kinda hopeful because of that
2013-04-02 22:26:34
I took the opposite approach until this season: for a long time I had one of the youngest squads in the country

but a team of pace trainees could only get me to II... so this season I signed three oldies, a gk, a def and a striker. Everyone else are what remains of my pace trainees, now training pm.

I have a divine/divine winger (in pace/tech) who is my star player, and I have a guy with divine pm and high passing but no technique at all in the middle. Also I have Wyness who is more of an all-round mid. Defence are all incredible/brilliant with decent pace, gk is brilliant as well.

I get a feeling I won't get past the playoff...
2013-04-04 01:18:57
cup games are a lottery as the prem teams only put out there trainees most of the time
as there is more money is staying up than there is in a cup run
if they make the last 8 they will start trying to mix the reserves with the first team where ness
2013-04-04 01:21:03
ie this season i went out the cup i put up a team scoring around 46 points in the league i am getting 62+
