España - Scotland 6:2

We got a good lesson from Spain. We had two tactics set up for this match, through Aidan MacColl's red card the second tactic had no place on the pitch. Which spoiled the whole match for us completely.... I can't write that we had control and chances on the pitch - because we didn't. Spain dominated the whole match. They were better and won deservedly. I think this is the first time in my whole NT career that I have come across such a good performance from both teams.

I am very sad because our World Cup adventure ends now. I know that we were not favourites, but you cannot say that we did not have any chances in this group. It happens in sport, someone has to lose - this time it was us.

I guess playing 4 defenders is not a good idea. Something needs to change, maybe try something new in next game :-)

Scotland - Danmark 5:1

A match of honour for us. We won 3 points at the World Cup against Denmark. This gives us 3rd place.
From the 43rd minute we had to cope with one less player on the pitch - G. Yardley fouled in the penalty area.... 7 minutes later our best defender had to come off the pitch, we were very weakened.
We were very lucky in this match, our goalkeeper can safely be voted the best player in this match.

This is what the group looks like at the end. We lacked luck and composure in the match against Spain, and that was decisive.
Sadly....next week is a match against Chile U27.

Scotland - Chile

Another nice friendly match. We're getting our best GK back in goal.
I am trying to think positively and prepare the team slowly for the U27 tournament, which is soon :-)

Scotland - Chile 4:2

I'm happy to get another win, because I set the tactics specifically for Chile. Maybe not everything worked out as it should, we lost two goals in this match after all.
We keep working. GO SCOTLAND!

Sakartvelo - Scotland

We play our next match against Sakartvelo. We lose too many goals in matches, I need to work on that.
The goal is to win by a minimum of 3 goals and not lose any :-)

Sakartvelo - Scotland 1:3

OMG... Let me start by saying that coach Sakartvelo NEVER changes tactics. So I specifically created a tactic that protects his most dangerous side - so I put our two defenders there, and on the other side I gave two youngsters so they can play the game calmly without touching the ball.
The match started, and I noticed that coach Sakartvelo changed tactics and used MIRROR. That is, the two youngsters who were supposed to do nothing for the whole match.... had a real horror show :P
Fortunately for me, we won the match anyway...but in a very ugly style... :)
