Just out of interest, is there anyone from South Africa going through the transfer list every couple of days to scout out South African players and get updates? When I spoke to MarcL before I applied I was told most of the database is out of date but fairly complete in terms of the players on it.

Why on earth isn't this guy in your squad? In seasons to come he's going to be one of your most important players

anyway, he never helped iojn polsih NT team (and im here 10 season:P). and, whats most important, polish divisions level in not very higher, than in other countries. its enough to see CCC results:)

This has been an enjoyable read, guys. I was a bit surprised Nin didn't object initially, but yes, the publicity isn't going to hurt the campaign.

Nin, as far as the transfer list and Rhode is concerned, I check it regularly, almost daily. If someone appears on the transfer list, I'm not likely to miss updating him in the database. As for Rhode not being in the senior squad, I can't tell you. There are too many has-beens in there that will never play again taking up space but I guess the recent coaches have been more focused on the current best players than the future stars.

Edit: Just realised that Rhode is not on the transfer list, but rather has a transfer topic. Those are not as easy to catch if they're not already in either of the two NT squads but I do get some of them from an indicator in the database.

If you set up pre-searches for South African and Transfer List, and South African and Advertised, they become equally easy to search. I assume you're using the firefox addon that I forget the name of to submit players.

I don't know what kind of state the database is in right now but I'm going to employ the same system I created in Ireland. Aside from the national and U-21 squads, I've also got one for all players under 19, one for the 20-21's and most importantly one for former U-21 players.
The point of the Former U-21's is so we can monitor the players that should be moving up and ignore the ones that aren't in it. Basically, if a player isn't good enough to get into the U-21 squad at some point, he'll never be good enough to get into the national team and is almost certainly a waste of space.

Hah, now I feel like an idiot. I don't recall ever using the 'transfer advertisements' search before. I don't think I even noticed it was there. :)

It's quite useful for people who don't understand the database or have the firefox addon as well. I mean when it comes to getting updates

im sure brokos kept the database updated. Unsure if he ever used the scouting tool though.
