Asunto: Strategy?

Starting today, I'm beginning a change in my sokker style that is going to weaken my team.
It will be gradual at first, for this season and the next two, and then dramatic thereafter.
Initially it will depend on how quickly I get youngsters to train, and then it will depend on whether or not my team can survive financially with the loss of supporters that will result.

My intention now is to take on very young trainees (I got a 16 year old today and have put Peach on the transfer list) and sell my mid-range players that won't make the senior NT with my current training plans. Once Zulu maxes his passing or he turns 29 (whichever comes first), I intend to switch to pace training and have a squad almost entirely consisting of youngsters, selling them off as they max their pace. In other words, I'll be training about 20 young potential u21 players at a time.

If I will stick to this plan, get frustrated with the poor results that will inevitably happen, or even if it is financially viable, we'll just have to wait and see.

My strategy remains on track. As you can see from my season finale against Blue Bulls, I used two young players (Seoke and Methula) that would never have made my first team in the past.

This season I'll still be focusing on passing in order to get Zulu to maximum (he's reasonably close to unearthly now). I'll do the big switch to pace when he gets there and sell off all my foreign and older players at that point, as I am able to fill their spots with youngsters from my academy.

I do not know how much money you get now and how good you have a coaching staff. you may want to leave the 2-3 senior players who will be able to do a good result until his own pupils?

I've managed to build up a nice bank balance.
I'll have to keep a close eye on what this strategy does to my finances but I'm starting in a strong position.

I've started by selling off two of my less useful foreigners.
I expect to have sold the remaining four, along with the older players in my squad, and have them completely replaced by youngsters from my academy, during the next 8 weeks.

From there I'll focus on quality as I get new youngsters, weeding out the older and less talented ones as I go.

I don't know how good this will be for the u21/NT squads in the long run, but at least we'll have a steady flow of players that can run. :)

My coaching staff is fine. Magical junior coach, head coach is unearthly in pace/tech/pass/def, and assistants are magical (2) and brilliant.

I sold Zulu slightly earlier than planned and have decided to complete the transition.

As of now, all my older non-trainable and non-local players are sold or on the transfer list (Chivuta, Rzedzian, Mosa and Ramane)

My squad, effective from the league match coming up on Sunday, consists of one 26 year old (Modise), one 22 year old (Seoke), and the rest are u21's.

That leaves me with 17 trainees and room for 5 more. Those spaces will be filled from my academy in the next 3 weeks. From then on I'll have to start eliminating the less promising ones as I get new prospects.

Great job Marc, if you still have money you can fill your spots with Lehoko and Cole (both should be talented and Cole is perfect for pace) they're on the TA..possibly even Andre Lutumba, he was there recently and was not sold..plus Austin Sibaya will be on TL soon also and he would need pace.

Just had only my second loss of the season (the first was against Bulls, so a fair result) and my fans are furious! :)

I guess they can see the writing on the wall with all the player sales.

Time to figure out how to adjust my tactics to limit the damage.

I feel for you I know it also, that's the result of high team ranking and fan expectations:-) But my fans get angry at me after 1 loss even though my team ranking is relatively low..Finally they are delighted after 5 straight wins :-)
May be try to buy Cole to improve your team a bit, he is off the TA, the owner was not able to sell him, so may be he would listen to lower offer now, try him with 3.5-4M EUR..;-) Lehoko is on TA also, his price is around 1M EUR I think..

I have done very similar in England. My team was 100 percent English but 1st team was aged 24 to 35....sold em all oldest guy is 23 now and most are 20 or less.

The big issue is that I cannot win for toffee....av ratings in 40s means I am off down to iii leagues and lusting 15 fans a week. Hopefully good in the longer term.....!!

I hear you! It's a little easier here because even the premiership has bots in it, but the fans are looking for my head.

Hey, my fans aren't furious anymore! They've moved up two points to depressed.

I guess they've accepted our new status as non-contenders.
