Asunto: SA friendly league

Hey guys.

(I posted this on the official "SA Friendly League" forum, but I know some of you might not have access to it or check it regularly so I post the message here again.

I am thinking about doing the SA Friendly Championship again this year after the Superbowl has finished.

I know some of you might have arranged to play in other friendly leagues or cups already, so please inform me of any such decision and I will delete you from the SA friendly championship (if you have registered to play it in the first place).

What I actually would like to know is do you think it is a good idea or should I rather leave it?

Please let me have your thoughts by no later than the 30th of November.

Ok. The friendly championship is all set. The tournament consists of four South African teams Durban City, Jackpool, Stonecold Legion and Rovers United and they wll compete on a home and away basis for the title until the end of the current season (if my calculations are correct).

Durban City should be overwhelming favourites to win the title with his "B" team being much stronger than most of the "A" teams of the other competitors. We could see a few close games between Jackpool and Rovers and ever improving Stonecold can probably spring a few surprizes.

There are a few International teams that are also registered to play in the tournament, but I thought it would be a good idea to keep it local this year. Maybe next year we can change it up a bit again and include some International teams.
