Asunto: [NT] revillo

Hi, my name is Oliver and i speak english very well.
I have good experience in sokker beeing an active manager for 5 years.
My club is from Romania, maybe the best championship in sokker, and I'm part of the 2nd divsion,, hopefully soon will play in the 1st:)

I have dreaming of coaching a NT for a while but I didn't felt ready. Now i believe, actually I'm sure, I can lead a NT whit succes.

South Africa has some very good players and i think a I can make some improvements in NT in long therm.
Sadly South Africa has very few active users and that's a shame for such a big country as yours. Nevertheless I believe users can become more active whit time, help and advice. Training programs (which can bring succes) and youth development ( which can bring profit) can be a good stimulent for users to log in more often. I believe understanding the game is the most important fact to be active.
As I said I can help and advice anyone who asks for.
If I become NT coach i promise I'll do my best to help South Africa's sokker comunity.

Results it's an other issue in NT. I saw some very poor results latelly and I believe I can change that. 0-6, 0-9, 2-7, 0-6 , 0-6... this is a very sad succesion of results. Some of this results whit not better teams than South Africa. I believe I can make better tactics so that this results won't happen again in the future. At least not whit simillar strenght teams.

I also want to impove database if it's possible and bring some new players in NT, the team is preety old and South Africa needs new players whit ages of 24, 25 26...
If I become NT, trainer, the first move will be to enter South Africa in Mini World Cup, and make a good impression . I believe would be a very usefull experience.

Finally, I just wanna say that i like this band very much:), they are so original and strange.

I saw that are only 4 junior teams... this must change! And FAST!
The 4 users, theunis, MarcL, Schalla and jackzakk are probably also the only real active users.
But still... even a user only logs in like once a week, it will be still a good thing. And that user must make a junior team.
I think this may be the top priority right now. This along whit making new users understanding the game.

Thanks for applying, Oliver. So far, only yourself and Kita (was out NT coach in the past) have made serious applications for the job.

I appreciate your efforts to study our NT, it's recent results and the squad.

To give you an idea of our situation, our database is reasonably well maintained and trying to get new users to be active is a hopeless and losing battle. My belief is that we don't need someone who expects to improve on those two areas.

What I am looking for in a candidate is:
- someone who will keep us informed regularly of the NT's activites; by this I mean every week
- someone who can improve the results with tactical improvements utilising the current squad
- someone who will help find trainers for our ex-u21NT players to ensure they came move into the senior team

You have addressed the second point by suggesting tactical improvements and entering the Mini World Cup, but what about the other two issues? Do you have the time to make regular posts about the NT. Do you have the character and contacts/influence to get our players trained?

Regarding music, we have other good bands as well. My favourites currently would be The Parlotones. :)

Oliver, I just saw your second post.

If your plan is to do with getting new users to make junior teams, I'm afraid you are not likely to get my vote.

Others have tried many times and have only been able to get ONE user to even reply to an introduction, let alone do anything with their teams.

This is not what we need from our NT coach.

Thanks for applying in NT elections and I appriciate your enthusiasm about bringing another users, that's what we all wish for, but unfortunately others have walked your way..
I've established a mentor system (as I'm a tutor in Czech rep.) with the help of manager BlueZero where you can see all the new managers in South Africa. I've tried to send welcome emails to all new managers, but during the whole season I only had 1 responds and the guy is not playing anymore and all the other users log in just once and that's it. They are probably not even from South Africa..
MarcL has tried to send emails to new users before for years..

heh just read your post :-) Good points Marc, it would be nice if new NT would be involved in forum and kept us informed about the situation.

@revillo Just like with U21 searching for trainers is crucial for NT team, without it there will be no improvement, as SA don't have many players..

You are probably the most involved user in this comunity.
I'm glad that someone responded me, because i don't really know the exact situation.
As to what you seek for, here are my answers:

I think is normal to do that, I didn't even thought I have to say it:) I come from Romania, a comunity whit the most acitve users, and we have dabates on forums about every game of the NT. I applied for NT because I want to do a good job,to be proud of what i acomplish. I want to be part of your comunity and to say the truth it would be fantastic if you and the other 3 active users will get involved is NT matters.

I believe i can do that. I'm certain. I don't really know the abilities of the players but i thinck I can do better then loosing at big difference. And of course tactics should be made after the players you have not viceversa.

As I said, Romania has the most active users so I can promote your players really easy. If I win I'm planning a long therm activity so it would be also my goal to find good teams for suitable NT players.


Even though i will loose your vote I still believe that part of the users that join are quiting fast because they don't understand the game. I can't bring new users but I can try make them informed about what to do when they recieve a team.

I see. But you know, the most important thing is believing. I'm sure that both of you are right but I'll take my chances.

Two more things. Even I want to buy 1-2 players to train. I will change to mid training after 3-4 weeks from next season so mids will be my interest.
And about tactics... maybe if you have time MarcL wacht my latest game (not the friendly, the playoff game). I think i made a good tactic against a team whit better players.

It couldn't hurt if you want to put effort into getting users to stay and work with us, so long as it doesn't take away from the other aspects of managing the team.

I think my point is that my vote will be based on comparing the candidates with regards the other factors that I value.

I hope I'll get the chance to train South Africa to prove that I'm worthy to do it. I'ill do my best in both comunication and results.

Unfortunately reality doesn't care about your believe:-( Trust me, we tried..and I'm still trying..

I will definitely aprreciate if you will be willing to train some NT or even U21 prospects or find other responsibe managers for training..We have some great talents in U21 squad..

Guys, one thing.
Everybody is making frinedly schedule for the season.
It could be hard to find opponents later on.

I dealt the schedule over 1 night last season after the elections, not a big deal..

hmm. Not really my style, I like good planing:)
But I guess it will work out somehow.


Too bad Howard Lechesa got 22 days of injury...
