I don't know much about him, but it seems the fans are not too sad that he is gone. But I don't think that has much to do with D-D as a player, more that they as a club have been underachieving hugely (they were title contenders but narrowly escaped relegation) and as a result have gotten a new manager. He has started shifting all the experienced players on big contracts and gotten younger, cheaper players. So D-D leaving seems to be a natural part of this development, and to me it says little about his skills. Which is what you really asked about - and I can't answer you ;-) Maybe some Odense fans can comment on this?

He was a star here. I mean, his name and record alone made him one of the biggest signings ever in our league. Especially since it was not for FC Copenhagen, but for OB Odense.

I haven't seen a lot of games with him on the field, but I think all in all you would have to say that he under-performed. As Lazlo said, the whole team under-performed and that made him at least look like a sub-standard defensive mid. And since the expectations were very high, you know...

I think he must have been the best DM in our league - we just never really saw it. He could be a star in the Israeli league - or not :)

He is a former Man Utd player. So he must have some skills.

As far as I remember, he was really good in the beginning. But in the end, he and the rest of the team, was under-performing.

Tnx Guys

I know his past, but the fact that he was willing to play in Israel for arounf 170K euro per season seems suspicious :)

Well, yesterday he played for the first time and from my point of view hwe loks great.
one touch passing, move all over the def/mid area and some great tacles.

hope he will be at least good for the rest of the season as yesterday :)

My thinking is that hew wants to be a big fish in a small pond.

LOL

Well its OK with me :),
another player that come back to play my favorite team is Ghana NT player Jonny Pentsill,
He played for us till about 5 seasons ago, than he went to the premiership,
This season he had no team and came back for arounf 150k euro (he claim that he owe our team so he decide to come back), hope he wll be good too :)
