I found more hits on her "new" name - apparently she wrote some stuff in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-posten in the years 1953-54 as can be seen here.

In this link we find out that she got a job in january 1961 as "county clerk" (I don't know if that translation is correct :p) in Ringkøbing. In another yearbook from the same county, we learn that around 1977-78 she is head of office, but leaves her position as head of the department for education and culture.

Hmm, I didn't find any further useful texts from googling arastryk and her name except for the one you linked to from 1968-69. There, we learn that Nora is the head of the local Ringkøbing branch of "Dansk Kvindesamfund", which I guess translates to "Danish Women's Society".

Maybe you could try contacting that organization as they're online nowadays ;o)

The people in the link from Krak could certainly be relatives, as the surname Bøsche/Bösche/Bosche is very rare. But there's no way of telling for sure.

The link from Biq, however, is extremely interesting and provides new information, yes :o) I just signed up for a free trial period at Biq in order to gain access to more data, and here's what I found:

Nora was a board member between 1986-1995 of the company Lars B. Thomsen Data ApS. The company was dissolved in 1995, but I've been able to dig up some details about the company. The CEO of the company is listed as Lars Bosche Thomsen. As you remember, Nora's father was also called Lars Thomsen, so I've been checking out some church records. Nora's father was an accountant, but absolutely nowhere does the name "Bosche" (or other spellings) appear. Also, Nora's father was born in 1886, so I guess the CEO Lars Bosche Thomsen is a different person, but obviously related to Nora somehow. The CEO's address is listed at Kronprinsesse Sofiesvej 2, 2000 Frederiksberg, but I find nothing interesting on that address nowadays.

However, there is a Lars Bosche living next door on Kronprinsesse Sofiesvej 4, as you can see here... I think that is worth checking out :D As you can see, there is another address listed in Taastrup, so you might want to try out both of them.

Another person listed at the same company as assistant director is Jan Zneider. He left the board in 1987, but obviously he must have known Nora as well. If you want to contact him, here's his current address.

Getting closer now...

I have to add that if Nora's father was actually called Lars Thomsen, it was a lucky guess from me. I don't think that was ever verified. Anyway, it's still a real possibility. Dude gets a daughter. His wife decides she must be called Nora - then he says: "In that case she will be know as Nora Larsdatter-Thomsen. Now bring me beer, woman!"

Btw: You deserve a medal for your effort! (Also: then You would be able to see what medals actually look like. *Whiplash*)

*Knuckle pain*

I just find the whole story intriguing, and it's always fun to do a little detective work. And yes, it was shown in this link that Nora's parents were Lars Thomsen and Helga Rosenkilde. I've also been through church records to confirm it. I just hope that it's the right Nora, we're investigating, but with all the details we've uncovered so far, I feel pretty confident.

I see. Wauw, so he was named Lars Thomsen afterall. I just feared that maybe my guess (when writing about "-sen" and "-datter") had become 'one of the things we know' in the process. Oh, and I really do respect how You are helping Szwamb here. The compliment was well meant - the following joke was just too obvious to ignore. Sorry, Detectives! :)

Keep calm and carry on!

PS: What's the "B." in Lars B. Thomsen Data?

Man, you're not a details person :o) In my post above, I wrote a long passage about Lars Bosche Thomsen, the CEO of Lars B. Thomsen Data.

Civilians, pfff.
