Yesterday we played a U27 friendly against superior Belgium. We played a 5212 tactic with a very young mid-striker line.
Paul Lejbølle (23yo) and Svante Lysemose (24yo) sustained the mid line, with Jørgen Dyhrberg (24yo) being our winger. The goal doctors were Mark Fohlmann (23yo) and Kaare Lauvring (24yo), with Fohlmann opening the score into the 1st minute of the game,
With this draw we move 3 place into the World Rankings, up to the 31st place.
Next week we play our last friendly before the World Cup, it will be a U26 game against Srbija.

The World Cup started today for our brave Danish players. Playing against Spain, a very powerful opponent, wasn't the easiest starter. But we did good. The game was balanced, with no certain team dominating the game.

Danmark vs Brasil 0-4
Even though we all had positive expectations regarding the second game of the VM group against Brasil, in the end the superior team gained the victory.
We battled very good until the end of the first half when Pilgaard made a foul inside of the box and Brasil received a penalty. With that goal the moral went down and after one more minute we received another goal.
In the second half we could not revive our play and Brasil scored another two goals.
We remain with the game against Scotland where a win can assure us the 3rd place into the VM group.

Hopefully, we will both grow. World cup was tough for us and yesterday against Romania as well, 10+ points difference in ranking. Our best mids had 13 pace :|

1. We have played 3 games into the VM group stage. A good start against Spain and afterwards two unsatisfactory encounters against Brasil and Scotland were the exit from the tournament.
Spain vs Danmark 2-2
Danmark vs Brasil 0-4
Scotland vs Danmark 5-1
As a conclusion our midfielders are getting older and older, as do our strikers. The only young departents will rissing options are GK and DEF. Intensive trainings are needed into the weaker positions.
2. Two under age friendlies against Romania and Australia.
Danmark vs Romania 0-6 (Romania was a too strong nut for us);
Danmark vs Australia 1-4 (we played a U24 x 7 players + all ages x 4 - quite an ugly game, we started well, 1-0 and afterwards we stopped playing at all).
