Malta vs Danmark 1-1

*On Saturday was the start of the new season with matches for VM qualification. Our first opponent was Malta, an inferior team in every way possible.
We totally dominated the game, had 1 vs 1 chances, but in the end we were punished by a counter-attack. To make things worst on Friday our best striker, Theo Praahl, got injured for 24 days into a Champions League game.
It is a pity to loose these important points, but this is sokker.

Han er bagud på primære def skills, men foran på sekundære..... fokuserer man udelukkende fart og def på ham, kunne han langsigtet godt blive en ganske habil forsvarer

The qualifying group O last two games were full of goal action for our NT. Not the best defensive line (big lack of secondary skills of some players) have clinched this situation for us. The best players are getting older and older, so for a healthy future we need new blood.

I am happy with the marks we had against Venezuela, a 78,3% point, not that bad, but a negative result in the end, We played from equal to equal against them, but their striking power was much better in the final moments of the game.

***With half of the games already played into the group I can say that our chances are compromised, we are in a group of 5, so less games played into the qualy stage.

This qualifying season has been a total wrack, nothing worked properly, unfortunately.

I will do my best for the upcoming games to bring as many ranking points possible, it is the least we can do now in this situation.
And at the end of the season I think it will be the time to give the chance to lead the NT to somebody with more inspiration and commitment to the job.

*On Saturday we played a friendly U27 match against Montenegro. A nice game for our young Danes with a nice win, 2-1
Unfortunately we lost two players with injuries, Dyhrberg and Lauvring, our best MID and our best ATT at U27 level :((

Dear community,

The season is almost at its end. The VM qualifying season ended today as well. A win against Malta had a bitter taste as we ended up 3rd and did not pass to the next round.

As a resume we stood like this:

VM Games : Total games : 8 | Won : 2 | Draw : 2 | Lost 4

Friendly Games U27 : Total games : 3 | Won : 2 | Lost : 1

It was not one of the seasons which did not go our way at all. Greece was a tough nut, we could have had our luck against Venezuela, but it did not go as planned there as well.

We remain with two friendlies until the end of the season, U27 against Serbia and standard game against Turkey.

My commitment is to give back to Danmark now.
As soon as tomorrow, i will hav access to NTDB and will see strenghts and weaknesses.

We will play the Mini WC then will follow with Euro U27 competition.
