Just a quick note. After those awful matches at the beginning of the season and some complication in the remaining matches, U21 team of Denmark has qualified in the finals! :-)

More to be said in the association (as usual)

Imorgen formiddag kl. 11 skal vi ud i noget af en styrketest imod mægtige Tyrkiet, personligt tror jeg vi spiller mindst lige op med dem og med håb om bedre..... men vi får se... i kan læse i landsholdsforum hvorfor jeg er optimistisk...

We are through - that's probably the most important information related to the World Cup qualification stage that has just ended. But let me write few more comments to it as well as few statistics and other hopefully interesting stuff.

The qualification was way more difficult than I have expected (well thanks to me :-P). We started in an awful way - three losses from the first three rounds and the last place in the group was truly deserved. The loss with France was somewhat expected but my deadly aim to grab the victory back in Senegal didn't just end fine. Even though we've controlled the game, all the combinations weren't that accurate as was necessary and even those few clear goal scoring chances were wasted - and the punishment was just hanging around (even though such an awesome pass into slightly disorganized defence was a bit too much).

Continuing with Cyprus - we had a great problem of getting into play. But still I was hoping at least for a draw - however Bak in a crappy form made a terrible mistake letting Cypriot striker score an easy goal. Even though we got some chances, the equalizer was missing.

Luckily, I've found a recipe then. Maybe it was Oliver Søsted who rescued us from the striker misery but still - we've won 6 out of 7 remaining matches (and one a bit unlucky draw with Cyprus) with an awesome score of 22:3. In exactly opposite situation was our qualification opponent - Cyprus. They have got just 2 points out of 4 last matches. And the moral is - we are through and I hope it is deserved :-)


Let's go down to the stats:

Defence
After brief looking at the table it seems that we are the best defending team of our group. Our opponents managed to wave our net only 9 times. However I don't think it is something we should glorify our defenders for. I think it was our goalkeepers which are truly amazing (according to marks we have 3 goalkeepers in the Top 5 of our group!)

France - Denmark 4:1 (Stålem, Bak, van der Maase, Kohl, Skjold)
Senegal - Denmark 1:0 (Skjold, van der Maase, Bak, Stalem)
Cyprus - Denmark 1:0 (Stålem, Bak, Kohl, Mølle)
France - Denmark 3:5 (Kohl, Bak, van der Maase, Mølle)

Attack
It is also interesting that despite I was harsh on our strikers at the beginning of the season, we've turned out to be second most productive team. We've scored 23 goals in those 10 matches. The funny part is that Ellehammer is our "best" striker (despite his striker level).

1. Åge Ellehammer - 10 goals (42 shots)
2. Oliver Søsted - 5 goals (31 shots)
3. Jokum Linnet - 5 goals (22 shots)
4. Vagn Hoff - 2 goals (4 shots)


I will try to come up with something more. :-)

Vi spillede en høj dramatisk kamp mod Colombia idag, rødt kort, to straffe og et enkelt mål i et opgør der ret heldigt tipper ud til vores side. Min 4-3-3 er langt fra optimal som den er sat op pt, og jeg begynder og lege med en ny hvor det er tre mere defensive centrale midtbaner på samme linie, sådan vi har mere end en taktik der virker.

Sæson statistikken efter ligasæsonerne er færdige hedder

8 sejre, 3 uafgjorte, 3 nederlag, og vi er pt ubesejret i 7 i træk....... :)

Ja i må undskylde der ikke kommer en længere salgstale for min genopstilling, men jeg stiller op igen, resultaterne har over hele sæsonen været blandede, men sidste halvdel af sæsonen gik vi ubesejret ud af.... der arbejdes på at få flere taktikker der virker lige så godt som 4-4-2´en..... Målene for næste sæson er at fortsætte stigningen på ranglisten og kvalificere os til VM.

På forhånd tak og spørg endelig hvis i føler i skal have belyst noget.

LaBamba som hjælper vores u/21 træner er deres træner... :)

Og mens man sidder og ser kampen kommer man i tanke om at der var aldersopdatering igår jo, så jeg er kommet til at snyde LaBamba da der er en del 28 årige med.... :/ beklager...
