Portugal U28 vs Danmark U28 1-1

@elmomo: Joseph Buhr is a genuine finisher. Entered the field in the 86th minute, scored the equalizer the next minute. Westerberg and Byskov played much more, missed goal chances like crazy.

Of course he is - he's a Momitoz boy, born and raised. Attacking is the only thing we know ;o)

Happy to see him progressing and contributing to the national team.

Even with lower skills than the other main strikers, he showed his power quickly. He has earned a first eleven spot in the next game against Germany U28.

Friendly - U28

Danmark vs Germany 1-3

Today`s friendly against more powerful Germany has been set for a Under age 28 match. Gods haven`t been on our side again, a 14th minute red card. But still I am pleased on how we managed to keep up the pace with the Germans. It ended 0-0 at half-time.

Second have was more animated, anyway the missing player from the mid line was obvious. Nevertheless, a good play by our players.

By the way, is anyone training Goalkeepers or midfielders?

USA vs Danmark 2-4 - Friendly

Great win against USA in yesterday`s friendly. We started the game with two 24yo strikers, the finisher Buhr and the peaceful Rostholm. I am glad that both scored, that will defenitely boost some confidence in them.

Next game is against Sverige...

Sverige vs Danmark 2-4 - Friendly

On Saturday we played against our friends from Sverige. An U29 game took place and our guys enjoyed the most of it. We played two different tactics, first a 4132 which offered a safe diffence and in the second half we changed the play to a 4312 with a winger allowing Lasse Achmed to try some moves. It all ended 2-4 in our advantage.

Goals: Erling Robertson and Marius Rostholm
Injury: Mark Sandager - for 11 days

Next game is against Bosnia, ranked 28th in World Rankings in a U28 game.

Danmark vs Bosnia 2-2 - Friendly

Today we had our last test before the start of the World Cup campaign. An U28 game against Bosnia, a superior opponent in rankings and value, but we dominated the game, thus the game ended in a draw, 2-2.

Goals: 22`| Aage Westerberg & `52 | James Skoller

Next week we start the party with our World Cup game. Cyprus is gonna be our opponent, so take your suits, we are heading to sunny Cyprus.

Apart of the Qualifying games to the World Cup we have some friendlies under way, I managed to complete them all.

Week 00 - Danmark vs Andorra

Prior to the start of the other non under age games, we may be able to play under age as disscussed with the opponent managers. I shall see which type of agreement prior to the date.

The qualifying campaign to the World Cup has started.

First match: Cyprus vs Danmark 0-1

Second match: Danmark vs Ceska Republica 1-1

We played two games, gained 4 points, the most important thing is that we did not loose against more powerful Ceska Republica. Wow what a mark did they achieve...

Friendly - 1st December 2018

Danmark U27 vs Romania U27 0-2

Today, as the Romanians celebrate their National Day, we played a U27 friendly against one of the best sokker teams. It was a closed game, but the value of the players made the difference in the end.

First goal could have been saved, but unfortunately we don`t have a better and faster U27 goalkeeper. Second goal came with the mistake of the same Johannes, our unfortunate GK.

Next match is against Thailand into the World Cup qualifying stages.

Qualifying match - Group D - 8th of December 2018

Danmark vs Thailand 4-2

It was one of those matches when the ball doesn`t want to enter the goal line. Westerberg and Byskov tried several times with no luck. And like in football the opponent scores, not once, but twice. As I was loosing my confidence Westerberg brought us back into the game. And so on we had 7 minutes of complete madness, we scored 4 goals. Man of the match nevertheless, substitute, Erling Robertson.

Next game is away against Malta.

Group D has had two more rounds of games. Last week against Malta, which was a huge disappointment, we totally dominated the game, they had 4 shoots on goal and guess what, 4 goals!?!

Today things got much better, we have won against our direct opponent for a spot to the VM. I am very proud of the way the players reacted today.
