First friendly game of the season was the chance for our young Danish U26 team to show its best. The opponent was a strong one, the national team of Österreich. For this game we got back to 5 defs line, a more secure way to defend.

We did great, defended well and we were quite precise in front of the goal line. Cornelius Bøgvad scored twice in his second game, meanwhile young Praahl just 23yo scored again for his NT.

This Saturday we travel to Eastern Europe more precisely to Bulgaria. The game is going to be played in U26 formation.

Yesterday we played away against Bulgaria in a U26 encounter. From the prior game we changed Hans Erik Bangsgaard with Bruno Thorup into the center of the defense, because Bangsgaard had been suspended.

We played compact, we passed the ball a lot, unfortunately due to the lack of technique Dragon could not control de ball that good into the winger side, but he did ok in total procent.

Cornelius scored again, he is 3 from 3, which is not bad. For the U26 European Championship I am waiting for the recovery of Broder Noregaard, our best striker.

Speaking about the European U27 Championship we know our opponents: Bulgaria, Severna Makedonija and Eesti.

We meet again Bulgaria our opponent from yesterday and as well Eesti, our World Cup group opponent.

World Cup has started on Saturday. First match was against Spain. As I expected we had a tough encounter. The ball just did't want to enter the goal, we hit the bar two times and had plenty of changes, but it was one of those days when the ball doesn't want to go in.

Furthermore we got two injured players, goalie Wurtz and defender Bohr.

Next game is crucial for us, Eesti is a very powerful team, but to remain into the game we need a win.

Saturday was the venue of our second game into the World Cup group stage. Apart of the fact that we played well, starting from the magical goalkeeper Johannes, the def line, our mids and short while recovered striker Carl Gustav, hats off for their play. Unfortunately it becomes a habit for us in this World Cup to loose players because of injuries. In the first game we lost Würtz and Bohr, second game gives us injuries to Uldbjerg and Carl Gustav Haugaard.

I hope they will recover fast, meanwhile let`s celebrate this win and focus on the last game against Crna Gora.
