Saturday was the venue of our second game into the World Cup group stage. Apart of the fact that we played well, starting from the magical goalkeeper Johannes, the def line, our mids and short while recovered striker Carl Gustav, hats off for their play. Unfortunately it becomes a habit for us in this World Cup to loose players because of injuries. In the first game we lost Würtz and Bohr, second game gives us injuries to Uldbjerg and Carl Gustav Haugaard.

I hope they will recover fast, meanwhile let`s celebrate this win and focus on the last game against Crna Gora.

The VM dream has ended this season. Last game was the most important, a win would have secured the way to the next round. We played a secure 5311 like in the match against Eesti, but it did not go the same way. The lacked energy and force.

I think per total we had a good VM campaign, but it could have been much better.

The season is not over, we still have a lot of games to play. Next opponent will be England in a best 11 game.

On Saurday we played our first friendly after the World Cup. We played against England, a former VM winner. Our best players gave their best to beat a powerful English side.

Two goals by Buhr and one from Rostholm brought a fairly deserved win back to Copenhagen.

Next opponent will be Scotland in a U28 encounter.

Carl Gustav Haugaard is again on the transfer list.

Friendly - Euro U27 Championship | Danmark U27 vs Severna Makedonija U27 2-0

On Saturday we played our last game from the Euro U27 Championship against Severna Makedonija. It was a game without history, a double goal from Praahl made the difference. Unfortunately we had 3 injuries at Pilgaard, Bolvig and Praahl, but from all three injuries only Bolvig had a long term injury (14 days).

Next game we face Scotland. I hope for a revenge in this game as in our prior encounter they beat us in the last minute.

Today we have met Malta U27 in another match of the Euro U27 tournament. Indeed the opponent was inferior and we totally dominated the game. A double from Haugaard and goals from Broder Nørregård and Theodor Praahl settled the encounter.

Next game will be against Ireland who surprisingly defeated Srbija.

Festival of goals today against Slovenija into the Euro U27 Championship.

Danmark U27 vs Slovenija U27 9-2

Everything worked excellent, passing, scoring, defending (even though we did receive 2 goals :P). Two goals by Praahl and Haugaard and subs Nørregård and Robertson snatched goals as well.

Next week the VM is under way, we are in Group C alongside:

Polska - ranked 2nd
Slovenija - 43rd
Cymru - 64th
Belarus - 70th
Jamaica - 81st

We are ranked 26th with possibility of going up one more place starting tomorrow.

As I said before, we are up one place, so we will start the new season with 2411.78 points (25th place).
20th place is 172 points away, but it can be a goal for this season.

By the way, does anyone know the highest ranking position Danmark had?
