Asunto: [U21] Ära Batto II

It would be foolish to claim that a triple-striker-tactic traditionally does not work in Austria. I took a quick look at the game: For a triple-striker-tactic to work, the three strikers must not run back too far. The distance between the strikers and the defenders was simply too big and the bigger this distance is, the more passing play is needed and not all U21 players (defenders and midfielders) have that. Even when defending, the strikers are usually not allowed to come into their own playing field, but stay in front.

Another point that needs to be addressed are the pass stations. There were no easy and clear pass routes between the MIDs and strikers (this is not because of your tactics, but because the opponent also did his job and blocked your pass routes). In the end I got the impression that every striker played for himself and therefore the attack was not collective. The MIDS were a bit too far in front and so they were pushed to make faster decisions and so the quality of the pass suffered. Maybe the MIDS should be set up a little more defensively (according to the motto: catch the ball and distribute it sensibly forward without pressure from the opponent).

When i prepared this tactics i based on long pass and than head or pass between strikers. I also put striker with def because i thought that he will pick up ball from defs.

Hmm, i will try to modified this tactic and i will try in match with weaker opponent.

I will return 4:4:2 - mid in line or maybe better will be used one striker and 5.mids - our mids have poor stamina - they cann't run too much

I thought a lot after defeat with Ukraina and about your suggestion. We will start this match with 4:5:1 tactic which will be change during attack on 4:4:2

Also I changed position of our players - I want focus on the midfield .

Hi

After intresting match our team won with Denmark 3:1

Our strikers made good job but mids hmmm...a lot of time took them to made decision about passing.
Defs were so slowly.
And stamina - our team was very tired in second half
The goal for our rival was so .... strange ;) first time i saw that goal :)

After easy match Austria qualified into third round of Mammia Cup !!!

My striker who i found is the star of our team :)

But i still wonder why we have so poor note for mid. Hmmm...

We are going play with Salvadore in third round - it is the weakest team in this round !!! so we still have lucky in draw :)

Notes are generally irrelevant, instead of watching this, just watch your mids for 90 minutes again and analyze how they play against a opponent, this is more important than a random note.

Is like bazy skillpoints, is good to we know the best players on that position, but that do not mean that a player with for example... 50 skillpoints is better with one with 48/49, all depends how his skills is and also the position he will play... i remember when i was coach... a owner of a player ask me why i do not put his player in a match, since he have x skillpoints and the other player have less (like 2 less points).... then i talk: his skillpoints is useless to a U21 player, he can't play well in one of this positions on pitch and i want to use the best options possible to make my team win and bazy skillpoints do not show that for me, what show to me is what i think matters to a player play in that specific position on pitch.
