Asunto: [U21] Ära Batto II

I feel we are lucky with that point :-)
Looks like we have some quality missing in def and midfield in that age group.
So its up to you with good tactics to not allow many chances for the opponents :-)

Yes we have some luck of quality in def. Mids and strikers and keepers are not bad :)

We will not fight for gold but for suree we are able to end on second place in stage phase

I would like summerized season
During 15 weeks i
11 times won
2 times draw
2 times lost
What gave us 31 position in ranking.
We shooted 30 goals and lost only 8
And finaly we finished qualification on second place.

I think it was very interesting and good season for me. I get ticket on Championship, so i achive the most important think for all users involed in Austria development.

W draw with Greece (8th team.in ranking) 1:1

What is your oppinion about this match?

So it was an U20 game. So it's not easy to draw any meaningful conclusions from that. Greece has very good players and their coach is very committed. However, he usually chooses very simple, predictable tactics. In the qualifiers with Norway, I came close to getting two draws against the Hellenes, and Norway scored two goals with their U20 strikers against Greece's U21 defence (Greece only conceded 3 goals in the whole campaign).

Let's go to the game: Greece chose a safe 4-4-2 with winger line-up (don't be fooled that the line-up page shows 3 DEFS + 1 DEFMID). Their attacks ran a lot through the left side and there, unfortunately, the right side of the Austrian team was a bit overwhelmed. It was fortunate, however, that the Greek winger was hardly efficient or the central defence was simply a home power and Gottesmacher was often in the right place.

The Austrian offensive went a lot through Leddig. He was strong as a bag and could sometimes assert himself. I found it a bit brave that all the Austrian MIDs had moved very far forward and thus left the 4 Austrian DEFS to their fate, but in this game it worked out well. I was surprised how strong the Putz is, although he is only 19 years old! Austrian scoring chances were few and far between, but of high quality, while Greece generated more than twice as many chances as Austria, but their quality was much lower. I am always happy to see that the Austrian community is training great players for the U21s, that the youth schools remain open! Keep it up!

We also big luck that we have such divine keeper . Also our strikers are better from match to match

Mids are young but also can creat situations.

Def i think is our the weakest formation.

for me Greece play in a 4-3-3, but is not now that i will explain this! :p

Great win, the best player for us was the goalkeeper. I am proud of the players I used today, Mitterböck and Steinke. They took their chances coldly.

I would like to thank you for your votes and trust. Your support in last election gave me power to work harder. I focus on elemination and after tough and good season finaly Austria will play on Championship. This is my third season as u21 coach. The most difficult because we have very good opponents in group stage but i will fight to the end.

but i am proud with our strikers (two goals and assist ) also our mids were very active :)
