Asunto: red-carded player

My player got a third yellow card in the last game of the previous season, i.e. he's now listed as red-carded.
1. Will he miss the first league game of the new season or the first cup game?
2. In the meantime, can he play in friendlies?

1- any official match whichever one comes first (cup or league)
2- he can only play in friendlies while listed as red-carded (if you look at my team, McColl got sent off on sunday and played the friendly yesterday)

Are you sure? It's important. The cup game comes first and I don't care much about it but I'd like to have him back for the league game...

The red card will clear after he sits for the Cup match. He will be ready for the first league match.
