Obviously lack of beer, a few more Id have probably ignored it quicker, but good advice for the newbs.
The more newbs outhere the better, the more info available to them, whether they read it or not, the better aswell.

Providing his talent is decent, i would say you got a frigging bargain there mate, get a couple more like that and you are off!!!
ask the person you bought him from
what his talent was?
what his talent was?
the player has played 13 games, ask the last owner and also ask Callione, he played in a scottish friendly league, i'm sure he would be happy to help
these 2 were maybe mistakes

First guy seems alright. I can see him turning into a nice enough player.
Second guy is 17yo and cost 6k so you cant really go wrong.
My main advice would be to truly appreciate the multi-skilled nature of a defensive or midfield player and try to avoid having tragic/hopeless/poor skills anywhere. I'd imagine that since you're bidding against inexperienced managers many of them wont appreciate the difference there is between (for example) hopeless and weak - they view these at being equally crap, possibly because of the mindset other footie games might have placed them in. It IS a difference though... many weeks of training saved and a much better player in the end.
Thats based on my own experiences when I was new... I bought trainees with some skills at hopeless only to later find that they need those skills.
Also, a quick search on the transfer market revealed this guy at 18yo and under 40k (what he will sell for I dont know)
poor stamina,
solid pace,
weak technique,
average passing,
tragic keeper
solid defender
average playmaker
average striker
Thats my idea of a trainee I'd want if I was starting over. He's a useful player straight off for a low div side and you can stick with doing his pace and defending for a long while without worrying about very low PM causing indecision and lousy clearances, or fumbling balls due to very low tech.
