Asunto: promotion

Ok guys, after destroying my league and only conceeding 2 goals all season auto promotion looms but I've no idea if my team will cut it in the league above. Any suggestions for player improvements? Will my team be strong enough to survive?

Any help gratefully received!

havin a quick look at your side, you should be able to survive in the league above (not actually sure which league you'll be heading into though), though i would guess it would be a bit of a fight and you'd probably end up somewhere around 5th - 7th depending on the league.

1 thing you should be doing to strengthen your side in the long run is to organise friendlies for each wednesday, and get yourself a full contingent of trainees, to play in these matches.

Training up your trainees is the best way to raise funds to improve your team... in fact, really it is the only way to get the money to develop a quality side. but it'll take time and patience.

Div 1.03 is the destination and i'm sorry but that spells bad news:(

In my opinion that is the strongest division and i myself have a playoff with Rangers 90(1.03 winers) which i'm not looking forward too.

If you have funds to strengthen then you should be able to compete like Suttie says but it's worth noting that Heartburnian were relegated with an average of around 37 and you'll be going up with an average of around 34. Not that ratings are everything but they do give a rough idea of what you are heading for.

My average rating wasnt too bad either and i promoted from Edwyns league last year and never won a game,although some could have gone either way.You need a striker that is above average to take the few chances you get and thats where i went wrong i think.

Why does everyone try to avoid Div 1.03? Do we smell or something? :(

Its probably just a rumour i wouldnt worry too much.LOL

If we had friends they would let us know?

There's just too many good teams in div 1.03 for my liking.

Take Go Ahead GlenEagles for example, they have had some really decent International class players on the TL recently. Going by the sales and not much coming in, Eagle looks to have a fair amount of wedge to spend and strengthen.

Considering that they finished 5th then it makes you wonder about the top 4!



There is the smelly issues aswell ofcourse :)

when i was getting relegated from the Premier, my biggest concern was dropping into div 1 03, for me it appears as difficult a league as the Premier

some top teams who get better every season as obviously only one gets promotion every season, making it more and more difficult to get out of it

Hopefully you are aware that you have a qualification game tonight against Lambo Selecta. The use of the word auto has me slightly worried.

Haha I wasn't aware of this at all! thought it ran in a similar way to hattrick - not to worry. this game is only a part time bit of fun for me and so surviving or winning isn't an issue... yet!

I'm glad that you can see the bright side :)

It would have been a tough league for you anyway, now you can keep training and get better prepared to survive when you go up next season ;)
