Ok I'll rephrase the question, should I keep the tactic with Lingard at 6 and Burton Felix as a substitute for Lehoko or should I change it and put 2 offmids next to each other (Lehoko and Felix) and 1 defmid (Kalaka), considering the strenght of the opponent?

hmm may be I'll use both tactics this time:-)

Singapore is the highest ranked team we will face so far this season. They are 7 spots behind us. I was able to make a deal for U20 as it is a stronger generation then the current one, giving us a better chance for victory.
Singapore's coach should make it easier for us, as he is playing the same tactic all the time, with even the winger on the same side. Our usual tactic with 3 atts and 2 defmids should mirror theirs nicely..
Our left side defender and defmid will be pulled to the side more to cover the right winger.
Other than that I think no changes are needed.

There are 2 questions with our squad.

1st is which side defender should I use:

Kelvin Lekgwathi, age: 20

club: G.K.S KŁos Chełm, country: South Africa,
value: 6 195 016 Kč, wage: 55 501 Kč,
superdivine form, solid tactical discipline,
height: 171 cm, ·weight: 65.8024 kg , BMI: 22.50
bookings:

poor Stamina tragic Keeper
formidable Pace very good Defender
weak Technique poor Playmaker
solid Passing average Striker

or

Louis Maselesele, age: 19

club: Tendenze, country: South Africa,
value: 5 355 014 Kč, wage: 42 751 Kč,
unearthly form, good tactical discipline,
height: 181 cm, ·weight: 79.3632 kg , BMI: 24.22
bookings:

excellent Stamina tragic Keeper
very good Pace very good Defender
adequate Technique good Playmaker
weak Passing weak Striker

I'm about 90% decided to go with Maselesele due to stamina+PM..

2nd issue is more complicated: What should I do with our offmid?

There are basically 3 options Winstanley S. Kalaka and Lutumba (I'm intending to substitute 2 of them for each other and I'm leaning towards Kalaka and Lutumba). Any ideas? Should I change the tactic because of them or reposition the players? May be pull the offmid little lower?

Maselesele would be my first choice as well due to stamina and limited substitutions.
about the mids I guess I wouldn't let the off-mid play lower, he hasn't enough def to really make a difference there, but he can do it in the offense ;-)

So Lutumba and S.Kalaka?

Another little crazy option might be to go with Serola at n.7 and pull him even higher with MID order and go all out offensive:-)
3 strikers (Ledwaba, Methula, Lingard) and very offensive Serola (pm/pass 8/7) He will be missed in attack, but might do more damage in MID than Lutumba+S.Kalaka. Plus our 3 strikers will still be very good and overall we will have better players on the pitch..

What do you think?
2012-11-04 10:30:32
hmmm.. I kinda like the idea. it's a little "all or nothing", but the new engine anyway works like this. and it's better to win 5:4 than 1:0 ;-p
2012-11-04 22:47:18
Ok, I'll think about it:-) Singapore's coach is suddenly reluctant to U20..so we'll see.. may be we'll try this tactic for U20 later in the season..
2012-11-07 02:52:34
OK the deal is set for U20, so I'll go with new tactic with Serola (n.7) as very offensive MID..
2012-11-08 07:17:36
Looking forward to seeing how it works out. Good luck!

Senegal looks like a good challange for us, they just draw Sweden last week and have quite a strong team, especially in defense they are much better than us, which could eliminate our biggest weapon, attack (good news is Serola is in superdivine form, so I expect big thinks from him).
They have some nice mids and strikers too so I it will be tough match. Their only weakness is goalkeeper, so hopefully our guys could expoit that and won't repeat the festival of wasted chances from last week:-)

Finally we are complete and healthy, so we can use both Lehoko and Felix..this time the off mid will be more conservative.. The tactic will be our classic for this season 433, 2 defmids and "rotators" in the attack, not much too choose from here:-)

Good luck!

For our strikers to take advantage of the weak keeper, they will have to aim the ball between the poles.
Make sure to remind them of that in their final warm-up. They seem to forget.
2012-11-15 16:34:06
I'll try:-) All our strikers are in high form, so we'll see..more trouble than the GK will be their defenders..here is one of them:

Mahmoud Diallo, věk: 20

klub: FC Rentiéři Oderberg, země: Sénégal,
hodnota: 16 650 042 Kč, plat: 134 251 Kč,
superbožská [17] forma, vynikající [12] taktická vyspělost,
výška: 192 cm, ·weight: 85.2305 kg

adekvátní [6] kondice............tragický [0] brankář
impozantní [11] rychlost.........magický [15] obránce
adekvátní [6] technika...........dobrý [7] tvůrce hry
ubohé [3] přihrávání..............průměrný [5] útočník

looks good, but they also have this one who played the ast games, less frightening:

Jules Ferre, Age:20
club: A.E.K Sparta, country: Sénégal
Value: 266 000 $, Wage: 2 350 $
incredible Form, excellent Tactical discipline
height: NaN

weak stamina, hopeless keeper
excellent pace, outstanding defender
poor technique, excellent playmaker
weak passing, unsatisfactory striker

they have 2 very tall defenders on their left defensive side. they might have some troubles accelerating, so maybe set the fastest ATTs there
2012-11-15 21:18:17
yeah I saw him too. They had the tall guys on both side defenses though.. Our strikers are all around 12 pace anyway, no speedy attacker there. Methula just poped to 13 pace so he will perhaps exploit the tired tall defenders in the 2nd half..
2012-11-18 18:08:16
Damn, Kalaka with a +7 injury :-(
2012-11-24 16:42:26
Guys I'm going to coach Czech senior NT in a match against Ukraine. (I'm assistant there, but for 1 match I'm taking the control:-) They play the same tactic all the time, so this is what I came up with. It is set exactly for their tactic. I'll try 2 tactics

1st half

2nd half

n. 11 is a secondary striker (offmid with striker skill, played with att order), n.8 in both tactics is winger (there might be another mid with bit striker skill)

What do you think about those tactics?
