South Africa U21 - : - Jamaica U21

our new generation will face Jamaica for their first real game in the new composition.
Jamaica is a tricky opponent as their coach switches tactics often and fundamentally. So their hard to predict.

They seem to have some troubles finding good keepers as well, so it should be equal there...

we'll try a similar lineup (4-4-2 with 4 central mids, 1 def and 1 off) to the one planned last week that never came to use. if drawing or losing after 60 minutes, we'd switch to a winger tactic and Vincent Johnson would come in as winger.

Some attractive matches for sure..Germany (I have their U20 player Kamberg, so he might play:-), Schweiz, Czech rep..Kypros is also interesting since I have connectios there and still access to their association. May be you could have dealt Danmark another U21 team I'm involved in :-)

damsn...how much bad luck is it possible to have???

Louis Gqosha, injury: 15 days....now all 3 of my south africans are injured!!!!!!

and the game sucked...we were dominating and really stable in defense, but couldn't make enough pressure in attack with both tactics. One one hand because our forwards are way weaker than the ones last seaosn and on the other hand because the other coach surprised me with a really low defense moving up, which made it very hard to get through...still one of the 3 huuuuuge occasions (14th, 44th and 87th) we had should have gone in...a real pity.

yep we would destroy Jamaica last season, but those days are gone..shame we don't have at least 1 of those 4 strikers from last season..

and even more shame with those injuries..I guess we don't bring our SA youngsters much luck, that's 4 injuries between us 2:-(

damn it. very bad luck indeed!

South Africa U21 - al-Jazā’ir U21


Our first friendly this season is against al-Jazā’ir.
They have a strong keeper but their defense is not very strong and playing mostly centrally. A weakness we shpuld try to use to our advantage. Their forwards spread wide in midfiled, so we should well position our defenders.

It's hard to find 11 players not injured, with decent skills and form that fit in an adapted tactic.
At least Maselesele is back, but we still miss the injured mids.
I'll try (again, a little different this time) a wing-attacker tactic with Doxakis as wing attacker next to Pitakathi and Devine
Maselesele will be on the defensive line (lateral) and Nyathi will play as def-mid.
