Asunto: [U21] Honduras
- 1
Will we finally win tonight? I hope so... :-)
Honduras is a team that might well have two sides. Some of their players are pretty decent (eg. Kafati, Huete or their striker Montoya) and then there are several quite crappy players (at least according to the value).
I've been solving a problem with the stamina in our team. If I want to play with the best players, weak/average stamina is quite usual. Therefore I've prepared somewhat messy lineup. Let me describe it:
We will start with a 5-3-2 tactic with quite a high defence. The defensive line will be quite a regular one - Kohl, Bak (I hope he will finally play better), Mølle and after the injury also our general Napoleon van der Maase. Next to this "big four" there will be Skjold with quite low stamina. In the midfield I will use two defensive midfielders (Michelsen and Bordinggaard) which will support Svend Fjordbak. Unfortunately Fjordbak will have to play the whole match which will be quite painful with his stamina. As for the strikers - I've decided to use "crazy" Ellehammer again. Next to him there will be playing one of our probably best duo Søsted - Linnet.
In the second half Igor Westhausen will replace Michelsen on the field and furthermore one weird substitution will take place. Vagn Hoff of course can't miss this match and he will substitute Skjold while we will change the tactic to a 4-4-2 one.
This is my intended lineup (a bit longer with all those conditional orders this time):
1. Abdalla Østerberg GK
2. Anders Skjold DEF
3. Jesus Bak DEF
4. Jonas Kohl DEF
5. Napoleon van der Maase DEF
6. Oliver Mølle DEF
7. Joakim Michelsen MID
8. Svend Fjordbak MID
9. Bjørn Bordinggaard MID
10. Åge Ellehammer ATT
11. Oliver Søsted ATT
12. Karl Emil Lindner GK
13. Sten Stålem DEF
14. Igor Westhausen MID
15. Vagn Hoff MID
16. Jokum Linnet ATT

The first tactic is almost done whereas the second one will definitely need some changes.
We are playing the match in Denmark and therefore it starts at 19:29. If you have any ideas, suggestions, they are welcome of course! :-)

Thank you!
Well you may find me a bit foolish but I am really happy even with this victory against a weaker team (which should normally be no reason to a party). After all those crappy results from past weeks when the performance of our team was far from being optimal (especially in the attacking part), this result seems somewhat crazy and incredibly good.
We've been controlling the game in a convincing fashion, our strikers scored 4 goals from 16 shots. However I am still worried if we are able to repeat this in other matches - the defenders of Honduras are really weak (just what I've noticed on the TL - Barón has only solid pace and formidable defending). So it wasn't that challenging - and especially in the second half, our strikers were running past these defenders pretty easily.
Latvija will definitely be way more challenging. I will do my best to get close to the result from yesterday :-)
