Times running out to get your entries in so that you can start scoring from week 1.

Hopefully this will encourage a few more entries...

All entrants or the first 14 whichever is the smaller will be able to nominate 1 player from your squad to represent the Scottish NT in not just any match but against no less than the recent World cup runners up, the Auld Enemy, England!

A friendly has been arranged and England will play a similar line up to ourselves. So if you have a player in your squad with perhaps the same name as yourself or you have trained a player for ages but he isn't quite NT class or even if he is 6 x tragic and you just fancy seeing him capped then nows your chance.

The first 14 entries are guaranteed a NT cap....aslong as you have a Scot in your team ;)

Players scores for week 1

Alexander Scotland -1

Daniel Souness -1
Gary MacInnes -1
Steven MacInnes -1
Cameron MacFarlane -1

Keith McBride 2.5
Elliot McColligan 2.5
Derek James 2.5
Phillip Nevis 2.5
Paul Wilson 2.5

Brent Leiper -1

Subs

Martin McDermot 2.5

All other NT squad members scored 0.

MOTM was split between the 5 man midfield and Martin McDermot who all gained top marks of 1 by simply being picked to play :)

So, a low scoring round thanks to a 1-0 defeat but it does mean that anybopdy wanting to join in now doesn't have that much catching up to do.

A surprising early front runner perhaps?

1st - -Zack- 8.5 pts
2nd = Culture19, 5 pts
2nd = langhe, 5 pts
3rd = Dandy, 2.5 pts
3rd = Rabb27, 2.5 pts
3rd = Stevierob, 2.5 pts.

Any queries, let me know asap.

Hopefully a few more entries for next week to shake things up a bit :)

2 belgians ahead... Scotland must be doomed ... :p
2008-06-14 14:48:23
Heh, i deliberately put Culture19 ahead of you because of that :)

Erm, seems like a bit of a silly scoring system.

Think about it. Somebody could pick a defence and a keeper who never even play a game and win, because the players who do play finish on negative points.

1-0 is not a drubbing, so finishing on negative points seems a bit ludicrous. Just my thoughts, what do you / everyone else think?

Oh, thanks for doing this by the way! Please don't see this thread as a moan. (as long as it applies to everyone though it's fair, so I guess it's not a big deal!)

I hope our defence aren't going to finish on negative points, particulary when there's 5 points per clean sheet up for grabs and 4 games against a couple of minnows :)

It's a gamble though, today picking a non player would have got you 0 points but had MacInnes scored the only goal of the match today he would have picked up
for playing 1 point
clean sheet 5 points
goal 10 points
motm 10 points
total
26 points

The defence also pick up 5 points should the opposition miss a penalty.

I'm sure that the defence will start picking up points soon but still willing to listen to others thoughts.

True, I didn't put much thought into that post :D
