I have recently received a mail from user manda Chuva who was responsible for our current DB and there now is a much more up to date alternative available, my mail said the following ...which i've copied from Sokker International, so you'll need to go there to copy on the links as they wont carry over....as i've just found out :)

I've just addapted NTDB for use with any country. You can see how do it work HERE.

With the new NTDB you can:

- Integrate sokker and NTDB, no more need to update players manually (FF);
- See ranking of best players and best trainers;
- Create a new account for the NT coach when a new season start;
- Easily change the staff team, creating/deleting scout accounts;
- Change password, username and language;
- Support for new Sokker Skin;
- Set requirements for until 8 different positions, including young squad;
- Export data to Excel;
- Edit player data and add special notes to them;
- Keep players in different lists: main squad, awaiting and archive list;
- Follow some graphycs based on player pops;
- Filter and order players by skills, age, best position, trainint type and others;

You can translate NTDB to your language. Just take THIS file, copy to notepad, translate it and send it to lazaro.domiciano@gmail.com. You can also change the css theme, just edit THIS file and send to me.

For ensure people will do not send data of a country to the DB without authorization, the requirements are all set as 17. Like that, players won't fit any requirements, and will not be saved on the database. Also, all players from countris already in NTDBEx are being redirected to their databases.

If you are interested in try NTDB, just logging on, set adequate requirements values and set accounts to your staff team.

I created a test user for those wanting to know how do it work, account is admin91/admin91. Please, don't change it.

User meraner is adding NTDBEx to FireSokker Extension. Keep an eye in next releases of it.

If someone wants to change from another to this new database, let me know. It's easy to export data already collected somewhere and I can import to it.

Now i'm not the best when it comes to pc technology or scripts db's etc so i have once again asked RTG to kindly help out and work with Manda Chuva( as he did on our current db) should the Scottish community agree with the new db.

I'm sure that RTG will be along shortly to provide a better summary than i can.

Just looking for peoples opinions before committing.

Cheers

folks,

If you follow the little idiots guide that has been provided on the page and then you actually need to click on your player which will then flag up a player. See what you think - i personally think its the best way forward as i can see this creation being a global one.

oh also i guess you will require the links eh?

Click HERE FIRST

and then download the dbase extension HERE

(click on the extension update button)

Once you have done that you will see the flags when you click on any of your players.

Also the grease monkey update also alerts you to mails and also allows you to hover over a players name and select matches etc etc. The update emulates HT in many many ways.

You will need to install greasemonkey (if you haven't already got it) before clicking on the above links.

It's quick and easy for users to submit their players to the db, just click on the flag from your players page.

It's also easier for the NT manager to keep track of players, especially the U21's which couldn't be entered into the db before.

it's quick and easy ... for the ones who use greasemonkey :p
At the moment, Indonesia is still using the database created by Terrion and Arnau, but as you said, it seems this one is becoming the 'standard' NT database on sokker ...

so my old NT spreadsheet is truely dead is it? :S

Just updated my player from Scotland in the database, can I check all the players that are updated in Scotland (or isn't that possible?)

I managed to get 6 players accepted but it would not take this one

Phil Ogilvie, age: 16

club: East Stirlingshire

, country: Scotland
value: 34 350 £, wage: 540 £
excellent form, tragic tactical discipline
injury: (12 days)
tragic stamina hopeless keeper
good pace very good defender
hopeless technique hopeless playmaker
hopeless passing tragic striker

is it because of him being hopeless at so many things or is it due to his injury? My other 16yo got on with average defence, weak pace and a few other weak stats.

Ogilvie only managed 79mins of his first match before getting a 3 week injury, I was looking for a quick pop or two from him then transfer list him. He did not have great talent in the juniors as he only popped twice with a six week gap.
2008-08-21 01:21:38
it might be a bug with the injury... maybe you can send a message to the guy who's been advertising this tool on sokker international...
2008-08-21 08:00:48
nah allie will have set limits per age and he prolly falls below the limits
2008-08-21 08:54:49
Yeah, that's what has happened.

For def's he passes the def and pace combo but will fail on the pm+pass+tech min requirements.

Elsopremo, he looks good though and time is on his side. i'll see if i can add him manually...i think that i can.

Seems like everyone is happy to run with this db then ?

This is the other 16yo. I have no idea of his talent as he was only in the juniors 5 weeks with one pop after 3 weeks. He does get on the db as a U21 midfielder or attacker. I will train him a little while to determine his talent.

Peter Carrick, age: 16

club: East Stirlingshire
, country: Scotland
value: 22 050 £, wage: 345 £
divine form, average tactical discipline

tragic stamina tragic keeper
weak pace average defender
weak technique weak playmaker
average passing poor striker
2008-08-21 15:19:02
Shug Cousland, age: 18
club: Patchies Eleven, country: Scotland
value: 34 200 £, wage: 555 £
good form, poor tactical discipline

tragic stamina hopeless keeper
poor pace very good defender
average technique adequate playmaker
hopeless passing weak striker
and
Danny Valentine, age: 18
club: Patchies Eleven, country: Scotland
value: 76 350 £, wage: 600 £
brilliant form, adequate tactical discipline

good stamina tragic keeper
solid pace good defender
average technique adequate playmaker
very good passing hopeless striker
both 4 week talents from my youth academy

I now have 7 players on the DB but the last one I added only made it because he is 16yo he does not really have anything else going for him

Bradley MacCune, age: 16

club: East Stirlingshire, country: Scotland
value: 10 800 £, wage: 315 £
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

weak stamina tragic keeper
unsatisfactory pace hopeless defender
average technique poor playmaker
hopeless passing poor striker

The DB says keep training him he is a striker but it still will not accept my 16yo very good defender.
