Manu vs Moscow CSKA was a superb thriller last night. Even if Manu would have lost it I wouldn`t be sad at all. I was quite sure they will draw at least, domination was so visible and goals were just inevitable.
Nice to see that Eastern Europe clubs are getting better every year.

Like CSKA? They are in the champions league this year, but won't qualify for next year. Doesn't sound like they're getting better. Plus, without Akinfeev (as they surely will be next season) Man U would easily have won that.

Danish commentators called Rubin Kazan's victory over Barcelona the greatest CL-surprise ever. It's as if they haven't discovered that the top Russian/Ukranian clubs actually have some great players in their squads! :-/
Edit: I still remember how Dinamo Kyiv was the most feared counterattacking team with Rebrov and Schevchenko up front. They dished out some beating to some of Europes greatest teams back in the 90's...

...and lots of money.
To be honest I'm really surprised by how good Romaniam teams got in last 3 years. Really great progress.

Again, Danish commentators were surprised that FC Copenhagen (in a below par season) this season lost away to Cluj, who had impressed in the CL last season... Do they think that just because it's a Romanian team they must be lousy? Of course they outplayed FCK comprehensively...

here is the greatest CL-surprise ever.
M.Unt. - Fenerbahce: 0-1
By winning in the season 1996-97 in Manchester against Manchester United, F.Bahce have broken a run of 56 games without lost (40 years). :)

Dan Petrescu is a good manager, he showed what he've learned when he played here in foggia with Zeman as coach...
