for Rafael, the first yellow he got i thin it was a bit unfair.. he got knocked down before.. and when he tried to stood up again he nudged that bayern's player unintentionally... should be just a warning i think :p

Yes, the secodn yellow was arguably a "necessary foul", to stop Ribbery from running free. But the possibility of such a card was exactly the reason why his first card was so stupid.
Not to mention the goal chance he missed miserably. He was like yesterday's Messi, but in negative :P


I've just realized all 4 teams I wanted in semis got to semis. Even those I was almost indifferent, but slightly preffered, went through :P

Actually, he escaped a red card for aggresion, and got away with yellow card for mindless foul only(I would probably think red card was too much, anyway).
No room for less than that.

to think about it, today was pretty similar day to last weeks tuesday. 2 thrilling matches between manu and bayern. some resemblances I noticed:

1. Epic start from Manu, pathetic start from bayern.
2. Manu takes the lead, It is pretty obvious that game will be over for bayern very soon because they seriously suck.
3. Vilpu comes to sokker forum to express his overwhelming joy that his favourite team is totally kicking ass to german noobs.
4. and after that everything goes wrong for manu, and they will get analed really badly.

so.. yes, déjà vu.

Come on, don't be so harsh on him. Despite the stupid red, he was great. Many good stops in defence, he made Ribbery look like he wasn't really playing, useful in offence...his pass made the first goal. Very decent game for such a young lad, just a shame he made this red...he is far more useful than Neville :)
