I think you can't blame him for going to ManU, but indeed, he shouldn't have to react that 'hard' when he plays against Everton ( with the great Belgian Fellaini! ;) ).

sure its fine to kiss the badge, like gerrard, gary neville(twonk) john terry do, because there is no other team for them.

with owen, he was my, and many other people's hero at liverpool, and once you are a hero, many people have you in their hearts, so when he joins the big rival with the most money, all respect goes for him, these days no player is faithfull to an ex- team, and their fan's feelings anymore, owen couldnt care less, that is whats wrong.

I can`t remember which were the other clubs interested in Owen, but I think they weren`t nothing special and definitely weren`t Champions League teams. Manu has given Owen a new chance to win titles, to play in CL etc...Imo there is nothing wrong he moved there. Of course Liverpool fans might be disappointed, but I am happy about that move. I have always liked Owen and like him now even more. One of my favourite players playing for my favourite team. Besides Liverpool is history now - he left there in 2004 and has played for Real and Newcastle. If you were in Owen shoes, wouldn´t you take this chance? He isn`t young anymore and probably won`t have many chances to win some titles. It was ok he played for Newcastle?

Yeah I agree there's good and bad ways to celebrate vs your ex-team... Looking at Henrik Larsson when he scored vs. Celtic with Barcelona in CL. :)

newcastle was the wrong choice. everyone can see that. if it was me, id have gone to stoke or hull. im sorry but i want nothing to do with them ever, no matter how much money they would offer. fair enough he picled the team that may get him back into the england squad, but i think if he was playing for stoke or hull, he is guarenteed 90 mins ad can be a big fish in a small pond, i dont want to speak anymore about him.

the violence at the west ham millwall game seems to have been rather violent and thats during the game between fans not at the game, god knows what'll happen after it.

have a look on the bbc website for tales of whats happened already :o

i have nothing but hatred for that scummy team, my polish friend. everytime i see ferguscum i feel pphysically sick, same with the badge, im sure man u fans feel the same about liverpool, well the true fans.

What is a true ManUtd fan? A man who hates Liverpool and spits on City shirt whenever he sees one? Why can't somebody be a true ManUtd fan if he doesn't hate Liverpool and vice versa? Is it so important to think the way those so called true fans think about their rivals?

I have some dislike against Arsenal and Chelsea but I have no hate or even dislike against Liverpool and (so far) only a bit dislike against City. Does that mean I'm not a true fan? ;)

Actually I'd like to make a question to everyone: How do you define a true fan in football?

and not have a totally one sided/arrogant/self righteous/closed mind approach to the game, which is why you hardly find any true man u fans. Fan of football first, then the club second to have an ounce of respect with your view. Then there's supporting the team through thick and thin, knowing about the club and taking an avid interest. Rather than a lot of these big club 'fans' who wait until their clubs winning, gloat like there's no tomorrow about it even though they dont have a clue what happened, but then when they lose, they didnt know the score and suddenly dont care about football and dont want to talk about it when they lose to a team like burnley.

exactly mate. you put it right on the spot. i hate it when so called "supporters" start complaining about this and that and the world is falling down when we lose a couple of matches. seriously, they should shut the hell up and go support real madrid or something. at least they can still kiss ronaldo's ass

EDIT: there ARE times though, when you are obligated to rub it into someone's face, and i'm sure a lot of you will agree with me ;)
