since i started supporting united there've been some good times and some not so good.
i still remember the time when blackburn with shearer took the title in front of our noses, or the times when such great players like cantona, beckham, nistelrooy or latest ronaldo left but even after such big losses thanks to great alex feguson united kept going.
i started to supporting united after playing a computer game called "manchester united europe" that was published somewhere around 1991-1992(i was little over 10 back then) and since then i'm manchester united supporter.
now you can act like a sore loser and credit all uniteds success to luck, protection by bribed&blind refs, intergalactic mason conspiration or whatever but the truth is that united is the best club in england and probably one of 3 best clubs in the world in the past 20 years.

the only other club i respect in england is arsenal because of arsene wenger and his young players developing style but i'd prefer if he'd use more players from the island (although i understand that it is hard to find so much supertalented kids for small money so he is forced to buy foreigners)
chelski - i respected them much more back when zola played. but even with all that money invested all they got are few premiere league titles and now they are back behind united
looserpool - lot of money and one champions league. maybe once they buy entire spanish national team backed with mighty yossi "i miss open shots" benayoun and 3 more steven gerrards they'd have a chance of winning the premiership

"It's always 'the next season is ours' for Arsenal :)"
Sorry about the sh*tty format. I'll remove the image again if people get too annoyed ;-)
it isn't accurate for this year as the bust happened when they sold Xavi

They never had Xavi.
Anyway, even as a semi-red, I disagree. I thought Alonso gave the ball away too much. The media just want you to believe that getting rid of him is the real reason. Fact is, Liverpool punched above their weight last year, and are now at or around where they should be. Everton, a few years ago followed a season of finishing fifth (where they won a lot of games one nil) with a season of narrowly avoiding relegation (the same one nils going for them the previous season turning into defeats or draws). In the Everton case, though, the second season, I felt, they finished in a position below their real placing.
Check out the Fink Tank in the Times on a saturday. Statistics based football analysis. It's brilliant. Anyway, they reckoned that Liverpool were less than a point behind where they'd be expected to be this season.

That kid who threw that balloon, was he Sunderland or Pool fan? Anyone knows? The balloon itself was Pool ball though..

It was indeed a Liverpool fan, according to tribalfootball.com.
