Asunto: Premier League 2009/10

what about all the other flops though, Veron, Forlan, Taibi, Barthez, Saha, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba, Dong. Then there's the massively expensive players who werent exactly amazing, Berbatov @30m+, Valencia @16m, Nani @14m, Anderson @15m, Hargreaves @ 17m and Carrick at 19m. These are just the ones from the last 3 or 4 seasons. Special mention to Veron who cost 30mil back in the days when massive transfers were rare.

No wonder they're in so much debt really

tbh kuyt and valencia are shit.

man.united in a debt because the glazers took over the club with loaned from the bank. before glazers come, united in a fine situation. but it's doesn't mean the glazers didn't think about this negative indication. step by step man.united trying to cover the debts of the club.. the clubs like milan, inter, munchen, barca, madrid, etc. also in a big debts. but at least they could manage it and still survive as a big club who plays in the top league of their own countries. in other words, they didn't get relegated and the owner didn't force to sell the club they've bought in order to clear the situation..
every managers nor the clubs either its a big clubs or a mediocre clubs, does did the flops. the important thing is how to manage the flops so that the club or the manager it self didn't get down. like you were saying, man.united have several players, like veron, forlan, or even giuliano "Jules" maiorana, that could be say as the flop players, but man.united players and ferguson always give their best to make sure the club it self could become a big club in the future. we ain't become big by money or what we can say in an instant way like chelsea or man.city are. we become big by give our best shot on the field and spent more time in junior academy. that's how arsenal, liverpool, ajax, real madrid and barcelona also do.. juniors from academy plus several additional players from around the world that's what man.united are..
if you guys remember, man.united was in dissmal form back in 1986. but every little single step that fergie and the players do makes man.united become the man.united you see in this couple decade.. top 5 clubs in the world. :)

some of them, such as saha and hargreaves, were unlucky with injuries, its still valencia's first season, and there are bound to be some flops with youngsters not living up to their potential. could also be the case that they're not mature enough yet.

and then there are those who were just average =/

yo man, what do you think about diouf? is he anouther el hadjji?
2010-01-18 19:25:10
we ain't become big by money or what we can say in an instant way like chelsea or man.city are.

tbf, you have though. You had one decent spell of academy players with scholes, beckham, neville's and that crop, but other than that there hasnt really been a lot that have gone on and proved themselves.

Man U only made a profit this year because they sold ronaldo for 80 million, but they dont have a ronaldo to sell every year. The debt will just keep going up and up and if they have a bad season, go out the champs league in the group stages, fail to qualify or something then the loss of revenue from that could actually be the death of them and they'll end up like leeds.

Senegal

the question is whether he is really young or not
2010-01-19 01:04:17
haha, like oba martins and yakubu, yakubu says he is 22 but he really looks like 42.
2010-01-19 01:34:42
We have a player in PL that says he has 21 years. The thing is, that 3 years ago he was checked[99%] at another club in Poland and he was introduced as a 21yo back then.

So...21? 24? 27? ;-)

2010-01-19 08:27:40
