I think my predictions go wrong around the quarter-finals. Brazil would probably beat Holland, then England. I've still got Germany for winners.

They could be wrong after the groups and I still think the final 8 would be the same. I don't see those 8 losing to any of the other teams that could get through. Argentina could have but they got an easy draw.

portugal, mexico, denmark and more countries could do okay..

Portugal could get through the group in 2nd and they'd likely go out to Spain. Mexico will struggle not to finish 4th in their group, if they do manage to get 2nd they're up against an admittedly poor Argentina. Denmark aren't getting out of that group, Holland are far better than them, South Korea are underrated and Cameroon have something of a home advantage.

Home advantage for Cameroon? The same home advantage Ireland has, if the WC was in Turkey?

Turkey and Ireland aren't comparable in any way. You're also ignoring that while that might be called the South African World Cup, it's very much seen as a continental African cup and the support will be for all the African teams.
