Asunto: Scottish Premier League

They do deserve to be punished, nothing should go in favour of them (relegation to First Division instead of Third etc).

Hearts, no, Dundee Utd, no, Aberdeen, no, Motherwell (maybe), no.

All clubs will majorly suffer from this. Hasn't the main sponsor of the Premier League already said that they will quit if Rangers go down to third division?
2012-06-22 19:17:31
Sky (main broadcasters) have said that they will continue their deal, and will renew it when the current deal finishes at the end of next season.

Clydesdale Bank, haven't heard anything about them either pulling out or continuing.

Punished for what ? , remember its innocent until proven guilty ! - EBT's were LEGAL , HMRC actually used them on their own staff ( check out the case vs Vodafone ) says all you need to know on the situation imo

as for the sky deal , i believe it will be cancelled at the end of this season , they have no wish for a deal minus one of the old firm

Scottish football really has to be careful for what it asks for as it might just seriously regret what happens next

ps , i cant wait til its all over so i can read the true story about the whole disgrace , so many dodgy things have happened that any sane person cant simply ignore

how the feck can Duff and Phelps the administrators walk away with £8.25m at the end of this ?

how can HMRC be allowed to sell the club and assets to Charles Green for £5.5m AFTER rejecting the CVA option of £8.5m ? thats costing the public £3m

how could Craig Whyte secure a loan of £27m against the season ticket money of a club he DIDNT own at the time of the deal being agreed and paid

how was Craig Whyte allowed to become owner of Rangers WITHOUT passing or even sitting a fit and proper person's "test" before being allowed to con all connected to the club

So many questions needing so many answers , roll on when this whole circus is finished :(

We'll never know...

The club as a COMPANY definitely deserve to be punished.
2012-06-22 23:33:42
Why ?

EBT's WERENT illegal - as i said im waiting til the truth comes out before i read anything as it seems there are so many lies and made-up stories going around
2012-06-22 23:48:36
Their finances are/were awful though. :P
2012-06-22 23:48:56
It was all dubious when Murray offloaded the company for just £1...
2012-06-23 12:38:06
thats a wrong presumtion mate

when murray "sold" the club rangers had a debt of £17m - which was structured to be repaid to Lloyds TSB over a period of 10 years

the massive problems only arose when Whyte witheld the players and staff Tax payments AND the £27m deal with Ticketus , so from that you can take anything you want i suppose

As i said i cant wait til its over one way or another to find out what the REAL truth actually is because the only truth at this moment is that its Lie after Lie :(

This could be getting worse financially for other clubs if they do vote Rangers in (I know this is the Daily Record, but y'know):

Celtic fans warn the SPL they will boycott games
2012-06-23 13:20:21
Celtic are a disgrace imho

they thinh that they are scottish football , the problems they have caused over the last few seasons are a disgrace , the whole refereeing issue was caused by the constant paranoia , that couldve cost a club everything , but they think they have the god given right to win every game 10-0 and its a farce

best case scenario would be for them to feck off to ireland lol

seriously tho, nobody cares about them , nobody cares about rangers - Scottish football is a laughing stock and we have nobody to blame but ourselves
2012-06-23 16:09:45
I think that, in all honesty, the other Scottish teams would love to see the Old Firm out of the Scottish game, which is why they're voting Rangers out.

Personally, I can't see Celtic saying 'no', even if the fans will boycott the club.

Gretna FTW!
2012-06-23 20:09:06
The problem the others have is pure jealousy buddy

they cant afford to keep pace and dont have the fans to fill the ground , that aint Celtic's or Rangers fault

as i said previously they better watch what they wish for , they could be killing their own teams future

I also heard a rumour the Aberdeen are close to administration , really hope it doesnt happen as they are supported by family members and even have a club legend married to someone in my family , hopefully its just rumour and they survive , we aint all bitter you see lol
