yeah but id say 80% of man u fans are idiots, i have met hundreds, and only 1 i call friend, because he is not a deluded glory hunting douch.

I met tens of thousands of them and only a couple of hundreds were glory hunting douchebags.

but the majority of the man u fans i know act like a fool, so i want them to lose because the fans are piss poor winners. They aint the sort to just be happy they won anything, they're the sort that would rather laugh at other people or their team not winning it.

but quite often those hundreds are louder than those tens of thousands. and as manu has the biggest amount of fans, they also have the biggest amount of gloryhunter bawbags.. so it just might seem that manu fans are feckin stupid.

but to be honest that is the destiny of all succesful clubs. for example, I´ve been somewhat supporting spurs for a couple of years. you never saw a single jerk in estonia praising them in forums. but now gareth bale showed some skills and after bullying inter, the amount of "bad loser" spurs fans has risen massively here. I know a guy who was a manu fan for 10 years, and now stoped and started supporting spurs, and he is quite an asshole I can tell you that.

well Schalke' tactic failed.

You cannot go into a game againt united and sit back, leave them so much space as it will be used wisely. Should of been more than two, Neuer was the only real player that turned up for them. I cant see Schalke scoring more than 2 at Trafford.

Then again, supporting a team just beacuse it comes from a given country is also a way to generalize :P

In general, fans don't have to be idiots at all, it's just a basic principle: there are teams, there are rival teams, and there's the need to maximize the achievements of your team and minimize those of your rival. You can support a small team from your country in an international competition, or any team "neutral" to you (it doesn't need to be from your country, anyway), but your rivals, hell no!

Greece didn't deserve to win Euro 2004 on skill. Stick all your players behind the ball and wait for the opposition to tire is not football. At least Real have playmakers and skill. There were no skilful Greeks, and they killed that tournament. So happy when they get beaten.
