Mate, do you know result of the todays match Ethiopia-Ivory Coast ?

As far as I can figure out, the match will be played today (Friday) at 3pm. The other semi (Uganda v Tanzania) will follow at 5 pm.

For those not following it, those matches are for the Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup, not the ACN.

botswana keeps the surprise on me... now they need to beat chad... these would their best participation or they had been qualied to ACN in other times?

for me a couple of surprises in the current standings :)

Group A
With 1 round left, any of 3 teams can still win the group.
The advantage lies with Mali though. They're at home to bottom placed Liberia. A win guarantees them top spot and they could sneak through with a draw if Zimbabwe don't win away to Cape Verde, depending on the scoreline.

Group B
This group comes down to Nigeria hosting Guinea.
A win for the home side will see them through while Guinea need a draw.

Group C
Zambia host Libya next and lead the group over their opponents by a single point.
The away side need a win, or the home side will qualify on top.

Group D
Theoretically, any of the 4 sides in this group could still qualify. Only 3 points separate top from bottom. Even Algeria could qualify if they record a big home win and Tanzania sneak a narrow victory in Morocco. The advantage probably lies with Morocco though as they top the group of goal difference and play at home.

Group E
Senegal have qualified despite Cameroon posting a 5-0 win this week.

Group F
Gambia lost 1-0 in Nambia which means that Burkina Faso have qualified.

Group G
South Africa gave up top spot to Niger as their hosts beat them 2-1.
This leaves us needing to win our home match against Sierra Leone, and hoping that Niger don't manage to win in Egypt.

Group H
Ivory Coast have won all 5 of their matches and have qualified.

Group I
Ghana edge Sudan on goal difference and they face each other in the decider next in Sudan.
The hosts need to win, Ghana need only to draw.

Group J
Mathematically, the top 3 in the group are still in the hunt here.
Uganda lead the group and hosts third placed Kenya, while second placed Angola play their final match away from home.
