Gohf will certainly know "Hamas, Hamas, Joden aan het gas!" by scum supporting Feyenoord. 'Hamas' and 'gas' are clear, 'Joden' = Jews. Okay, "Jews" is a nickname for Ajax (just like Anderlecht in Belgium), but it's still racist. It happens everywhere, unfortunately.

There are idiots everywhere - Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, UK, Spain, Netherlands etc. In some places the police and politicans handle the problem with racism in a better way, in some the effects are worse - unfortunately.

Also, it is important to remember that while Poland is often considered a truly European country, it still isn't as European as the countries from in the west because of the post 2nd World War period. For years there was no such thing as a black person in Poland and many people haven't grown accustomed to other races.

I live in Warsaw and I see black people in the libraries, at the university, on the streets, in pubs etc. and till now I've only seen one racist incident when some drunk idiots started laughing 'look, there's a monkey'. And when it happened, they were rapidly approached by a police patrol.

It's exactly the same with Cracovia, Widzew and LKS. Widzew is often called Żydzew [Żyd=Jew]. All three teams have Jewish origins if I'm not mistaken...

If they can't even prepare a proper map of Europe, then I don't think that one should believe each word that they say...

I agree that everywhere in Europe there are still problems with racism, and that´s also not right!

But come on, these things seem to be much more socially accepted(more people supporting them) in Eastern Europe, with even many politics representing them...and I'm not talking about Poland only, Russia,Ukraine, and maybe more...

Country's like Holland etc do also have some minor problems with racism...but in Poland/Ukraine this doenst stop with chanting, singing. Violence is kicking in way to often....

I understand that not everyone in Poland/Ukraine is like this....but if it's only a minority why the hell arent the dealed with properly??

I haven't seen any Polish politican who made an anti-semitic statement, or racist statement

there is one popular politican who has weird ideas, but his party never gets elected

we have black people if our parliament, homosexuals, transsexuals

so please, don't start with such bollocks like 'anti-semitism in Poland is accepted, even supported by politicans'

one more thing, the BBC material is totally manipulated

for example they have made many more interviews, for example with one Jew who plays for Polonia Warsaw - and he said that he never witnessed any anti-semitism, he feels completely safe and likes living in Poland. This part, like many other, was CUT from the material. Why? Because then the material wouldn't be interesting.

Please, remember one thing - when you watch a documentary, even a BBC documentary, you always should use critical thinking. Don't take what they tell you for granted, because we live in an era of media manipulation and with good skills, a lot of money and time you can make basically any documentary that you want to.

Also from what I've read in the beginning they didn't plan to go to Lodz, but they didn't have enough 'hardcore' material to show from Poland.

To be honest I never expected such low level of journalism from BBC, my respect for them went down a lot.

There are several players from Israel that play in the Polish league this days, and I can confirm that none of them said that he feel racism against him .

But you can not close your eyes and said that everything is all right and that those Hooligans are not as bad as it seems in this BBC documantery movie, to see and hear the Police chief from Ukraine that say that the crowd was only pointing towards the rival crowd (though they praise Hittler) is unacceptable!!!

The sad thing about it, is that those idiots doesn't understand that according to the Nazi's they should be demolished too !!!


I hope that Euro 12 will be remembered for the football and not (as I sadly believe) for the fans that will be sent home in coffins......

I agree that there is a problem and something should be done about this, I'm just saying that the documentary is exaggerated, at least in the part about Poland.

As for fans...well I have some bad feelings, but because of a different matter. There are rumours that Russian hools are planning to come to Warsaw and fight with Polish hools, it will be a disaster if this comes true...

That is true, a friend of mine is actually russian but you can see that her family comes from a part of russia where people with asian descendant live and when I met her in Moscow where she is living at the moment some people on the streets talked bad about her in russian just because of her looks. And she said to me that this happened to her several times.
I mean that can happen to you probably in every part of the world even in Germany. But not to that extent, when she lived in Germany it never happened for example.

And I have to say I have nothing against Russia or russians, during my visits there I met the kindheartest people you can imagine, they always treated me generous and as a friend.
But you probably meet racists and simply bad people all over the world.
