Botswana did well to qualify but at the tournament itself their results were:

Lost 0-1 vs Ghana
Lost 1-6 vs Guinea
Lost 1-2 vs Mali

Gordon Igesund has been given the Bafana coaching job, a 2 year contract (for what those are worth) with a mandate to qualify for Brazil and reach the semi-finals of Afcon 2013 (hosted by South Africa).
