He was great again, except at the very end, when they all became desperate and tried to dribble everybody. Still, he managed to get a very clear goal chance by doing that.
Appart from that, he played well as usual (e.g., his assists to Higuaín). It's not tha the plays worse outside Barça. It's just that he plays as usual and the rest of the teams plays worse then Barça - and football scores depend on teams, no on individual performanes. Unless yo are Justo Villar :P

The main problem is that Argentina doesn't move without ball. When Messi had the ball all of the offensive players seemed like they were spectators, no one tried to help him by searching a free position or a possibility to play a 1-2 action. That's why I thought Pastore might help and he did liven the pace a bit, made even two good attempts at the goal.

btw. is Gago related in any way to Batista? Why the hell did he play full game? Why the hell did he play at all!?

ONly Pastore managed to play 2-1 with Messi, and only Higuaín managed to search for a free space.

As for Gago: I have no idea why he got a place among the 23, nor why he was trusted to play some minutes. However, once he got in, he was among the best, at a level I've never seen beofre on him. He did pretty much what I expected Banega (big disappointment) to do.
