Just make it harder to keep up with the expenses at the top. I think that there is no need to reinvent anything about the training system.

New manager can farm with 22 youngsters. Top managers can't.

Just change the scaling of wages, so that the wages grow faster than now as the player gets better. And make it so every extra official match that a player plays costs 50% more of his salary. So if a player play in league, cup, and champions cup, his wage is doubled for that week.

I pay nearly 500k each week for wages! It's hard enough to maintain my position, let alone improve my position...

Wages are high enough already, i am loosing 333 333 $ each week and had only one match above 666 665 $ to cover 2 weeks balance. So all in all my season will be in red numbers. The only way currently to cover all expenses is to train and sell players.
So instead of training players for your own team, you are training them to cover expenses. And then you need to buy players to make your team better.
Currently the only way to be on top is to trade your way up.

I'm just throwing ideas here, hoping they pick lesser of 100 evils.
Top teams are not getting stronger, except for the day traders. That is another issue.

I feel like some things need to be explained.

Building your team:
If you are not competing for the titles, you can train 22 players. That is 22 players growing in value.

Fighting at the top:
When you are at the top, lets say training mids, you can train 10 players.
You need to have older players, min. 1 gk, 4 defs, and 3 strikers. That is 8 players dropping in value.
5 out 10 mids (first squad) need to be older trainees (22 - 26 yo). That is age when players reach pretty close to their maximum market value. That is 5 players in stagnation.
Then you have 5 trainees who are very young. They are growing in value.

How can you not catch up with the team that is losing money?

at the moment the post is too high level with no details its hard to say if its ok or not . On the fact we did not had single word in the past is great but there are things that bothered me a lot without explanation and details we may have wrong assumptions so hope next week we will have shorter topic but with specific
change and best voted in the forum before developments starts.
Most of users here are addicted to sokker and not knowing what exactly changes are and how they will impact their day to day life is something to worry :)
key things that make me bother is despite main a lot if - on topic for speed of the game its one of the changes
despite most people asked training to remain as much untouched it will be changed yes no specifics
but still ...

I fought with my girlfriend several times because I gave more attention to sokker than to her :-)

the money thing is really challenging, I agree that training youngsters is the best option to gain money, but very time consuming and there is no success in any competition. after long boring weeks of testing (or spending money you can't afford for stars) you finally find your squad, train them and the next decision is to either sell them when they are on top or you try to be competitive for some seasons. the small money saved is spent on completing the squad. When they are old you get some few millions for them and start all over. in fact one should train them and sell them at the age of 25 (+/-2years) and start all over to collect money. but who has this patience, I am here to win championships and titles.

one more thing: I am strictly against accelerating the game, 16 weeks is just fine. otherwise the players will get older even faster;

raising the number of competitions is a nice to have but not more. it's like the continental cup irl, who is going to participate and win? the strongest teams, it will be another title for them and another title not won for all the rest. it could become interesting when there is some factor for exhaustion of a player

You don't need to win championships to have fun.
Why do people play League of Legends, Fortnite, and other stuff when most of them are never gonna win any tournaments.
Just playing the game without having some high hopes can be fun.
Most fun I had playing this game was back when the community was rich. It didn't matter that I was in the 2nd division, we had our rivalries and it was awesome.

Lets just not forget how this game got ruined.

It is a group of managers that their great interest for the game and their main pleasure is to manage with passion National Teams. most of that users love and respect the game all this time.

Ιn the first major report Dev. Diary 2 there is no comment or some roadmap about the NT gameplay.
although a lot of Ιdeas posted from many users are focusing to NT part.
for all that users who are exclusively interested in that part of the game please could we have one Friday a report if will be some update or changes into NT gameplay, or and how the new changes at the main gameplay will effect to National Teams?
for example the shortening, of the seasons will fit the qualifications matches or the WC?,
the changes of the number of top players will effect the quality of national teams?
there will be similar improvements like the ones you are planning in to main game - Goals and achievements or - Competition optimization?

cuban users we were talking about this new competition and we came with the idea of a division cup, because many users are eliminated from country cup really soon, perhaps a supercup also, just ideas that can be improve and work...

Yes, we will address that part of the game too with some improvements.
Probably it's easy to understand, that first of all we would like to focus on main gameplay (that every users are invlolved in it), according to fact that there is lot to work on after so much years, but dont worry, NT will be find own part.

Some of the main improvements will affect NT too - as goals and achieviements for example.

For more details - we hope that particular areas of our work will get easier to understand with upcoming Dev. Diaries.
