Sponsormoney, prizemoney, money from tickets, ... It's all very marginal compared to income through training. You can financially compensate to be 2 leagues lower and play for training instead of results with the trainingprofit of 1 trainee to put it boldly.

Borkos is right... im from small country too.... 15 active users.. its easy to both win titles, get plus on weekly finances and train young players to keep the economy going for buying the players to win titles with, with just the tiniest effort....

Problem is as said, you burned out all your money on old players, which ALWAYS fall in value over short or long time... but you had No source of income from training young players to gather money to pay for the competitive players...

I agree! But, on the other hand, leagues form (mostly bot teams/a lot of lowest level leagues) are not sustainable at all!
- it's not interesting to play there
- it's not tactically demanding
- lot of beginners just leave if they don't have experience playing Sokker already
- they promote too quick, and then try to compete with low budget, old one-two skills player, and that skill determines salary (f. e. excellent pace/divine defender - 20k salary for divine skill), and that should be better explained to some managers!

You all forget how bad trainers are at very beginning, and upgrade takes lots of money and time. I can assume I invested around 2M just to buy/pull better trainers, and 160k/w is not too much for 1 magical and 4 brilliant coaches. I tried to buy few old players to compete after promotion, but every negative result or rainy day pushed me further into bankruptcy!

I'm not making any profit from attendance and sponsorship. Coaches, 15-20 places YS, all U21 players so salaries are not high at all. I can't afford old players to be competitive, so furthermore I'm training players, intentionally making +/-0 so I can better (not best) train.

First of all, all managers need to know this is tycoon type of manager play, transfer budget has no limitations, so you can make 100M profit and play in lowest league possible, and if in meantime you're not bored just buying and selling players all the time, you can try to invest some serious money buy best possible trainers and trainees, and wait few more years (best case) to compete for promotion and learn you can move ball around in tactics! ;)

Having both trainees and being competitive at same time were made ten times easier with training upgrade... before you could train 3 or 5 in friendlies, rest had to be league... now you can train 10 in friendly (and just 25 min to star trainees in league)

I lose around 15-20 m eu on my A team each season to win titles... but I make it up on training young players (not academy, but mostly transfer)

As I said, training and compete excludes each other for beginners. It costs too much! Even second team for friendlies is more or less loss at very beginning! YS + YC in any case!

I have decent prospects (U21 Danmark, Viet Nam, Rossiya, Costa Rica, Croatia and possibly Spain and another Croatian) but must make compromise between coaches and players salaries:

I made:
Transfers income: 6 140 838 €
Transfers expenses: 1 760 427 €
(from there 500 000k was on 31-34 old players - financial loss without significant impact on end results, my team probably lost some games with less GD)!

I made profit 10 000€ last week before salary update and relegation (2. league sponsorship 160 000€). Highest salary in whole team is just 6 750€!

now you can train 10 in friendly (and just 25 min to star trainees in league

Agree! But still must have is multiskill head coach and relatively good assistants! And don't forget, my best/star players on disposal are my trainees! I train them to play with, only sell players that don't fit in my training plan! ;)

Trying to compete too early caused all fauzielhakims problems!
He made mistake letting less budget on disposal while unexpected and unexperienced got promoted!

I can make comparison between leagues I played: German Regionalliga (4th) is like Croatian 3rd, German 3rd is like Croatian 2nd. It is a bit discriminating in my opinion! ;)

Thanks, bleured!

I am happy as Croatian, both: to play Croatian League and living in Germany!

We need to strive for more understanding and equality, advise people who made mistakes, show examples like borkos007 did with his player! Support them when needed, so they can learn from mistakes and understand them, not making them leave community!
Some people don't speak English well and some sentences seems to be interpreted/understood wrong, even it wasn't meant disrespectful!

fauzielhakim:
I would advice you to RELEASE all old players you can't sell, every 10k you can save before financial Update, and after age update is better as trying to sell them for same amount!

You can find really good players in market for training:

16

unsatisfactory [2] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
average [5] pace weak [4] defender
adequate [6] technique adequate [6] playmaker
hopeless [1] passing unsatisfactory [2] striker

for pace/passing training or pace defender/training (what suits you better): should make decent 18y/19y player for sale! And build on keeping talented players to make strong team base, and selling those with average talent. Or if you want to make best profit first, then sell those with best talent and reinvesting money in another!

You may have been able to be successful with it, but that's probably more due to access to the market.

Small countries received less guaranteed sponsorship than large nations (have proven this many times) and it's due to the poor system of linking it to fanclub members
When you hit the top league in any country, you hit a ceiling of being able to move forward, the problem is, in a small country, that ceiling is a lot lower. In this games it isn't marks that results in more money, is money allowing you to buy better players and therefore get better marks.

As far as being able to use young players in small countries, that is not necessarily true. Being able to use young players is all dependent on amount of competition you have around you. If you have 12 competitive teams all striving to be number 1, then you would not be able to use young players at all. So this is league dependent.

The only positive (or maybe 2 positives) that smaller countries have is it is easier in a balanced small country, to win a title. This is not true in some small countries where there is 1 or 2 very old teams just hording money, but in general it is true. The second, sometimes true thing is, if you are big enough to have a community, then you can build bonds with other managers better, which is nice in a game like this.

Competition within a country is fair for all in this game, but competition between countries is not. Many people have had to "just deal with it" for the past 20 years, but many more also left the game because of it.

1) Merging National leagues into INT league system.
2) For NT teams, adding random country for any junior.

Done.

Problem solved, you are a genius !

Joking... not sure that most of the users would prefer to play in an international league instead of national one.
2024-06-13 17:04:42
I would :-)
I am playing in the wrong country anyway.
And once a while i move to another country.
2024-06-13 17:58:50
Well In fact, reproducing league system is not a good idea for challenges and rewards (for many reasons), it’s better to use a ladder system. And so, international. Genius++
