Asunto: [GD] Injuries

And where does the 2GK, 6 Mids, 6 Defs and 4 Strikers you need to be "secured" from injuries if you want to be competitive come from? Players will get more expensive every season without limit in my opinion. So the only way to the top will be to train for a few season in a lower league, make money, buy a golden generation, eventually go to the top for a few seasons until your players are to old. Rinse and repeat. Funny isn't it?

welcome to Polish version of Sokker, it works like this since many years here :-D

Training for full profit and playing for results will never go hand in hand in this game.
It's one or the other...
On the other hand, they try to simulate a real life club situation, but irl it's the other way around.
You HAVE to be profidable to be able to play for results.

Depends on a country... people from smaller countries always complain how hard they have with money but don't realise how easy it was for them to train and compete at top level, instead of having to visit 4th or 5th league in order to come back after years (real life, not sokker years)
2022-09-27 19:57:16
Well...the real challenge for them is the CC and with their team it's impossible to get results there.
Obviously, you have to have competition to have issues with the game. If not, then it's plain boring

That's not true if you look who was winning in recent years

Also look at this edition, the strongest team in terms of stats is from Latvia, you also have Hrvatska and Bulgaria in top10

Of course you can win CC even if you are from a small country and I think it's in many aspects easier than when playing in a strong, big country - then you can have 1, 2 maybe 3 attempts at CC for years

When playing in small country you can take part in CC every season

It's only about planning, training, making money - so things everyone else has to do as well

We do get less money and you entirely miss the point as there is no "top level" to compete in. There are some CC games per year and that is it.
Yeah, it is way easier to get to CC (and harder to compete in there as you have fewer resources than top teams from stronger countries), but it is not worth to sacrifice all the other aspects of the game for that.
2022-09-27 21:15:50
I never said it's fun to play in an empty/weak league.

I said it's easier to reach CC and much easier to build a strong team.

(and harder to compete in there as you have fewer resources than top teams from stronger countries)

...how so? the resources come from training and selling, not from being in this or other league. that's why to win in Poland you go to lower leagues and there you make the money. You don't have to do that because you can make money in top league in country.

because you get less money in league? I got 228k euro this week, how much did you get?

280k last week. But im not speaking in terms against comparable Polish league based on strenght but against other top tier CC teams who get way more. And doesnt lose out on attendance money due to having to play bots/new teams in league. Maybe you could argue that it is easier to build a team in weaker nation (which is not necessarily true as you can train players just as well in bottom of strong nation as at the bottom of weak one), but it is definitely way easier to maintain it for longer periods in stronger with bigger base income.

but in a weak/small nation you don't have to go to bottom of country, you can train in 1st league :-)

...but after the changes, yes, it's easier - in stronger country you "only" have to lose in national cup first round and then you can train there, but with lower intensity...

still there is one BIG problem...when you finally have enough money, player resources after years of work, you still have to go up from 5th league to 1st...

This is Polish 2nd league:

75.3 Domik Tuchola
74.9 Dąbrowa Górnicza
74.3 Juventus Dąbrowa Górnicza
72.9 WHITE TIGERS CF
71.8 StarStarachowice
70.3 PAŹDZIOCHY
69.9 White power
69.0 ZKS Stal Gorzyce
68.2 Słupsk United
66.2 Psy

This is Polish 3rd league:

79.8 Furya
75.8 WislaKrakow
71.7 huana team
70.4 CO2 Chemical Oranges 2007
69.6 Ogóry
68.8 Bene Tleilax
68.3 Latający Cyrk Nieznajomego
67.8 Chelsea Londyn Iskrzynia
64.6 Fada Maka Stars
64.0 Mazovia
61.8 Pachnące Skunksy
58.9 Torpedo Dąbrowa Górnicza

etc... to get to Ekstraklasa You already have to have a strong team in 3rd league, fight with teams playing for 75-80 who were also gathering resources for years and want to go to Ekstraklasa...

you don't have that problem in small countries, you just buy a top team and you already are in Champions Cup

We are arguing about different topics entirely.

Polish league looks like a real nightmare to me. It is for sure much more fun to play in a smaller country like mine, train 10 younger players with nearly 100% each week and still be able to play competitive in an non bot league. And the dream to win something big is alive. In Poland i would play in the 3rd league and have a hard fight not getting relegated to the 4th. Maybe i would make more money from attendance and sponsorship, but i would never switch to your league if i could. As a newbie i would stop playing as soon as i realize that i need to invest atleast 3 years just to not loose 17-0 against most human teams.

Having 10 points rating more than teams in upper division and be in lower division means your tactics are not so good or you do not care to promote....

I told you, it's not how it works...
You don't stay in a high league like in small countries and just suddenly fight for trophies

You have to go down, make money, start from low league and for seasons climb up...while your team gets older, so you have to plan properly so in best scenario your team is young enough to be in good age when you get to Ekstraklasa and at same time good enough for promotion...

Adventoure Group (3rd place in last Champions Cup) in last 3 seasons won 2 National Cups, 2 Polish Championships + 1 silver medal. He sold out his team and is going down because his cycle ended, team got too old, was losing value, he wasn't good enough to go for gold anymore etc. That's how it works in Poland, you gather resources for years, then climb up for 4-6 seasons, then play 1-5 seasons at top and then you sell out...and start from beginning...

This team that you're talking about (Furya) had 2 straight promotions. 5 -> 4, 4-> 3. Now it's going for 2nd league. It's easier now because 2 teams can go up, before it was hard because often there were 2-3 top teams in one league and only one could promote...so you could stay for seasons in 3rd league even though you had a good team.

I don't know this user/team, today he played for 80.1 - which is sokker top top level. But it's an old team, if he doesn't have a lot of money in his account he won't achieve anything with it. Maybe he could try to win the National Cup.

Yeah it's not very fun to be honest. I mean it's fun during the 'I fight for trophies' period, but the rest is just training and not caring for results in lower leagues because you don't want to go up anyway, it's not worth it.

And yeah, for a new users that's ridiculous, you start a game and to even think about going to 3rd or 2nd league you have to play for years :-D

I don't think they necessarilly have to do this, they just do it due to stupidity (they are unable to figure out different way out of this) or cowardness (they do not even try to fight using players they are left with) or something else (maybe laziness because the way they are choosing seems to be the easiest way) but they just do not even try to solve the situation in different way
