Yeah, makes me sad that this rule hasn't been applied and one of the reasons im not paying ''plus'' anymore as this is basics of the football to imitate the base rules of football. And of course too many other ''unimportant changes'' im just on hold to see where the game goes but 5 Subs and longer bench is really the basics and i'll take my decision based on that in the future.

heck, I find it amazing that you can't actually change the order of a position substitution. If you play a 4-4-2 and lose a player to a red card, and you want to add a 5th defender with a defensive order, well..you can't.
Down a goal with 20 minutes left and want to add an extra attacker? You can. want him to have an attacking order, instead of midfield? You can't. I've tried it.
What is that all about?

Now imagine this scenario
You are playing 5-3-2
5 DEF / 3 MID / 2 ATT
on bench you have:
1 GK
2 DEF
1 MID
1 ATT
45 you make a MID change
60 your other MID gets injured = he is subbed with a DEF with DEF order
so you play with 6x DEF = you lose training
currently there is no such risk because new player on the pitch receives the same order as a player that started the game
I know what you mean, but such a change would require much more work and a wider approach than just "let's let them change players with a different order"

The only solution would be to simply not give training to anyone over the limit in a given match (6th defender or midfielder, 4th attacker).
Admittedly, this may be challenging to implement based on how much spaghetti this game's code is now.

Honestly...I don't know why all the fuss to restrict training so 6 DEF f.e. will ''lose training''
If something being not realistic at all...it is the training loss feature!
Start with basic limitations for the starting 11, but beyond the match, those restrictions should not be there anymore, as well as the loss of training.
It's just stupid and has 0% added value to the game

but there is another problem, if due to injuries a MID goes into DEF position [or even an ATT goes into DEF position]
then which order do you want the MID/ATT to have when playing as a defender? can you imagine how a winger or striker-skilled player will act in defence with MID/ATT order? He'd try to dribble all the time etc.
This is also a safety net for a "what if" situation...
anyway, my main point was connected with this:
.I don't know why all the fuss to restrict training so 6 DEF f.e. will ''lose training''
any change of this kind that they make in the game [for example: allowing to use different order for subs in game] ends up with a butterfly effect [or a snowball effect]
you change one thing to make something better, but suddenly a different thing starts working worse and a third thing stops working at all, so now you need another change, then you have another side-effect etc.
we already saw it with introducing 2nd league game in a week, suddenly the whole game economics got trashed
so it's great to say "it's easy, do it" but it rarely is easy in reality because it affects other aspects... so you have to make one small change, due to this change you need another, then you must re-think the whole process and it becomes a huge and time-consuming thing
they don't have money and people to concentrate on such details now, you can see how slow it's been since couple of months... this kind of ideas might be good - but when they finish the more important aspects in 2 years or more

So we came to a conclusion that it is ridiculous system so far. I think only minutes should be considered for training and manager will choose what skill the player will train by choosing one option before Thursday's training update. Obviously, the player will receive training for ONE skill only even though he might have played on both MID and DEF during the week. Why even limiting any formations, if a manager want, he should be able to play with 10 Defenders or midfielders, he will anyways suffer from the ugly game.

I don't see an issue at all. A striker will play as DEF and will do as well as he can as in RL football if Ibra had to play DEF he would. The same thing if all GK's are out then a field player will go to goals and will do his best as Goalkeeper, logical to me at least.

Current system is connected with previous system, where it was needed because it worked differently
Now, after changes, some things are obviously unnecessary and are simply leftovers from previous, more limited system
But as I've said - you've started with substitution orders, now we're reaching into changing training system etc.
Not simple, not crucial to game development at this stage, it's a thing they might touch when they finish more pressing matters. For now we must adapt.

Moreover, if everything is so hard to change, then they should shut down the game and restart it all over.

I don't see an issue at all. A striker will play as DEF
he won't play as DEF because you want the players to keep their substitution orders
so a striker will go onto the pitch to play as a defender with ATT order
if you compare to real life, no coach would bring on a winger or striker to defence and tell them to play the same way they do as winger/striker, they would always have DEF orders.

Yep adapting means, no competition and sitting in lower league without any activity, that's how it will be for me at least from now on.

If a striker goes in against a central defender (on the bench no other DEF available) then he will play as DEF and will do his best in central defender position, that's what i meant here.

No, he won't play as DEF [order], he will play as ATT [order], because that is his sub order and that's how you expect this to work.
And that's ridiculous because nobody would ever tell a central defender to play with ATT order.

Should be automatic switch, once there are no other solutions left. Not ridiculous at all If you have 3 DEF only left on the bench and your striker on ATT position gets an injury, why not bringing a DEF in from the bench and let him try to play as well as possible as ATT?
In RL football if you have no Striker left on the bench you would go and play without a striker?
